Dewsbury ShopFunded by Kirklees Council in partnership with Regional Development Agency, Yorkshire Forward. A two-year project to raise ambition and aspiration and act as a catalyst for Dewsbury people to develop new

ideas connections, ambitions, and aspirations

People flocked through the door from day one and our empty shop unit filled up with an abundance of human treasures - stories, memories, connections, opinions, ideas, hopes, dreams, fears…. in ways which were extremely powerful and moving for all who witnessed the positivity with which Dewsbury people accepted Encounters’ ‘Invitations to Join In’.
