Encinitas Classic Car Cruise Nights needs a club to fill MAIN LOT

on July 19th – reserved and sponsored with own DJ!

July is here and it seems warm weather is upon us. Friday nights

Cruising Grand OTHGNC night seemed to be a terrific turn out.

Like I said earlier, I didn't make it out of work very early and showed

up around 7:15 to a packed house. I want to thank any of you

who showed up early and saved tables. I never made Fillipi's for Piz-

za, but I understand plenty of others did. I parked at the back of

Broadway and never made it to the corner as I was sidelined by

many to say hello.

I hope you all had a great 4th of July and a safe one. Sorry if any

of you went to Mission Bay for the 4th. What happened there ?

I heard that the computer messed up and set off everything at once.

Imagine waiting 4-5 hours for that.

After months of procrastinating, we have a subcommittee to

help set up our Sunday drives. This first drive is Sunday July 15 to

the NHRA Museum in Pomona. We will leave Deer Springs / Moun-

tain Meadow park and ride on north I-15 at 0800. We will proceed to

Temecula and have breakfast. From there we will drive to Pomona

fair grounds off the I-10 and spend hours looking and shopping at

the museum. Current exhibits are, Mooneyes, Cobra 50 years, Banks

Power, and Neon & the American road. It is $8 admission for adults

or $6 for senior over 60. We will make a stop at Tom's Farm on the

return for refreshments and gas. If you can make it, it should be fun

to take your ride out. If you don't feel your ride will make the run

and you still want to go, no problem: follow in your regular car or

catch a ride with a friend in the club going. The museum is fun and

entertaining.

LA Roadster Show: Friday – lots of people going. All Meadows

people. Don Lehrman is going Saturday for anyone that wants to

meet at 5:45. Bruce Snyder is going at 8:00 a.m. for anyone that

wants to meet. Send email. Going to SoCal open house at LA

Roadster show…..worth while. Also open house at Waldens

speed house. Grape Day Park: good turnout. Poway Cruisers beat us for club

participation. Have Easy Up and banners for any events. Mike

Burnett, Dick Blank, won awards Barratt Jackson @ OC fairgrounds: weekend of June 22, 23, 24.

Canyon Lake Show: date? Janet Weigman will forward brochure

to Bruce. Invite to whole club. Cruisin’ Grand: June 29 is our car club night. You should be

there by 4:30. Extended invitation to San Bernardino and San

Diego OTHG Temecula people also. Talked to manager at Fe-

lipe's - they won't reserve tables. Parking is on South side of

Broadway - have club shirt or some identification on. Del Mar Fair: Tuesday 6/19 for our club to take cars. Talk to Fred

Edwards. Only 8 cars….pretty sure it is full.
