Chapter 1 (continued)• Analysis Assignment 1 helped me to understand chapter one by
analyzing the effectiveness of instructions from a video of a particular audience.
• Chapter one talks about “analyzing your audience’s needs” and that’s exactly what this assignment was about and it helped me to understand just how to do that.
• By doing this assignment I understood clearly how to see how content is shaped due to the audience’s needs and how the audience reacts to certain things that are a specific purpose.
• This learning matters because it helps you understand how to write a good paper and how to grasp your audience’s attention.

Chapter 4 (continued)• WA1 Assignment helped me understand and also learn how to
write a complaint letter using letter format and also how to change a sarcastic tone to a persuasive one.
• WA2 Assignment helped me to understand how to write a memo properly.
• By doing these assignments I understood how to properly write a letter, a memo and also how to properly write a complaint letter.
• This learning matters because knowing how to write a well written letter, complaint letter and memos can get you far in life with jobs and also other professional settings as well as unprofessional.
Chapter 10• Chapter ten discussed “Style and Clarity”• This chapter explains the following: abstract/concrete,
affectation, awkwardness, transition, tone, word choice, “you” viewpoint, vague words, repetition and more.
• This learning matters because it is important to know how to have a “clear and effective” writing style. Also, this chapter helped me to understand how to construct clear and concise sentences and paragraphs.

global graphics, graphs, headings, lists, tables, visuals, organizational charts and more.
• I learned how to effectively use different types of charts and also how to critique a website by giving suggestions on it’s content, layout and visuals.
Chapter 7 (continued)• Analysis Assignment 3 taught me how to analyze the content,
layout and design of a website and how to make certain suggestions on how I would fix some of the things on the website.
• By doing this assignment, I understood just how important little details are to a website and how content is super important as well as visuals and the layout you choose.
• This learning matters because it helps you determine a good website from one that needs improvement and also how to create your own.
Future• I will use this learning in the future by being able to effectively
write letters, memos and complaint letters and also be able to understand my audience’s views and needs and how to adapt to what they want. Also, if I ever want or need to make a website I certainly know how to now and I also will use this learning in my career by writing letters to clients.
• Some goals that I will set will be to continue my learning with writing and read the text book over again and challenge myself to write awesome letters that are persuasive but not efficient and to use the knowledge I’ve gained in order to better my career by writing memos and letters.
