This standard has been prepared by ECISS/TC 1.The responsible German body involved in the preparation of this standard was the NormenausschussMaterialprfung (Materials Testing Standards Committee), Technical Committee Prfverfahren mit zgiger Beanspruchung fr Metalle .DIN EN 10002-1 conforms in most respects with ISO 6892, except for Annex A, which has been added tocover computer-controlled tensile testing machines.It should be noted that in Germany DIN 50125 continues to be valid to deal with the form, dimensions anddesignation of tensile test pieces.See National Annex for designation of percentage elongation after fracture.

AmendmentsThis standard differs from the April 1991 edition as follows:

a) The limits for the strain rate have been changed.b) Methods if determining the percentage total elongation at maximum force and the percentagereduction of area have been included.c) Annexes A, F, H and J have been included.
