CATHOLIC STRONG IN-PEW SOLICITATION IS NEXT WEEK
You have been hearing and reading about the Catholic Strong Campaign for many months now and next weekend is the time for our in-pew solicitation. (March 30-31). This is a Diocesan and a Parish Campaign, and I am happy the Diocese is allowing 70% of funds raised to remain here in our Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe. I am pleased to announce that we have already raised over $300,000 towards our large goal of $1.3 million, thanks to the generosity of over 58 parishioners. This is the 10th Anniversary of our Parish and I am blessed to be your pastor. The faithful of St. Lawrence, Our Lady of Grace, and St. Luke have come together to form a large and dynamic parish family. Our grandparents and parents built churches and schools, and now it is our turn and our responsibility to continue to grow and spread the Catholic Faith we love so much. At our church entrances you see signs of how we plan to use some of the funds. For example: Enhance Youth and Young Adult Ministry, Reach out to Seniors and Homebound Parishioners, Beautify our Churches, and Evangelization. I am asking all of our families to consider making a pledge of $3,300, to be spread out over a 3-year period. A sacrificial offering like this is equivalent to the cost of a Latte a day, $3 per day for a period of 3 years. I know many of you are financially stressed and I can relate to that feeling. I grew up in a row home in Philadelphia and my parents lived very modestly. Our vacations were a week in Wildwood, and even that we could not afford every year. The world has changed, hasn’t it? Monthly cell phone and cable bills amount to what some families used to pay for their mortgage. We are in the Season of Lent, which is a time of more intense prayer and sacrifice. Pray about the type of sacrificial pledge your family can make, over a period of 3 or 5 years, to build our faith and help our parish to be Catholic Strong for years to come.
Thank you for all your generosity, Fr Vince

Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish 2019 Lenten Program Bishop Robert Barron’s Conversion: Following the Call of Christ
The Lenten Season is a season of Conversion. Conversion is a life-long process of turning one’s attention and energy toward an ever-deepening relationship with Christ. It is not too late to join us and invite family, neighbors, and friends as we begin the DVD-based program, Conversion: Following the Call of Christ, presented by Bishop Robert Barron. Using six stories from the Bible, Bishop Barron demonstrates how ordinary, sinful people like us are met by Jesus and called to a better life through him. We offer 3 sessions, Tuesday mornings, at 10:00 a.m., in the Our Lady of Grace Chapel in Lindenwold (Next to St. Lawrence School), Thursday evenings, at 6:30 p.m., in St. Luke Church and Monday evenings (in Spanish) at 7:00 p.m. in St. Luke Church.
