Empowering people, espe-cially women, has been one ofthe most satisfying efforts of histenure, Prime MinisterNarendra Modi said on Friday,asserting that the support frompeople cutting across regions,languages, age groups andoccupations has given his gov-ernment a mandate "unseen fordecades".
Modi was responding totweets from Ray Dalio, thefounder of investment manage-ment firm BridgewaterAssociates, who praised theprime minister as "one of thebest, if not the best, leaders inthe world".
Dalio also posted the videoof his short interview of Modion "meditation, the world, andIndia".
In a lighter vein, the primeminister said, "My friend Ray
Dalio, the trolling after thesewords of praise would give youthe best opportunity to test yourmeditation skills and being 'likea Ninja'!".
On a more serious note, thepoints make for a healthy dis-cussion, in the spirit of beingradically open minded, headded responding to Dalio.
"To empower so manyIndians, especially women hasbeen one of the most satisfying
efforts of our tenure. The creditfor the same goes to the peopleof India who made these move-ments their own and drove thetransformation," Modi said.
He said the mandate peopleblessed his team with has beenunseen for decades.

fake note smugglingNEW DELHI, Nov 8:
The NIA has charge sheetedtwo Pakistani nationals forallegedly smuggling counterfeitcurrency notes having face valueof Rs 94,000, officials said today.
In its charge sheet filed beforea special court in Jaipur yester-day, the agency has charged RanSingh, a resident of Sindh inPakistan, and his accompliceKunpj, who is at large, also forcriminal conspiracy and counter-feiting currency, they said.
He had shown his temporaryaddress in Rangpur village inGujarat's Morbi district.
Singh was arrested byCustoms officials at Munabaoin Rajasthan's Barmer on March16 when he was coming fromPakistan to India by the TharLink Express train, an NIAspokesperson said here.
"The officials recovered 47counterfeit Indian currency notesof Rs 2,000 denomination, havingface value equivalent to Rs94,000, from his possession andthe same were seized by theCustom Officials," he said. (PTI)
