the 2004-2005 MBa recruiting ye�r w�s one of tr�n-sition. the job m�rket picked up enough for everyone to notice. the number of opportunities �nd offers received by students incre�sed �nd the competition for MBas w�s noted by �ll.

three months �fter gr�du�tion, 95% of the Kellogg School of M�n�gement’s cl�ss of 2005 h�d reported h�ving received �n offer. We h�ve not seen � number like this in � long while. this w�s the best indic�tor th�t the m�rket is improving. likewise, the Kellogg School’s cl�ss of 2006 w�s �t �lmost �00% in intern pl�ce-ment for this p�st summer.

as you review the d�t� on the Kellogg School of M�n�gement’s cl�sses of 2005 �nd 2006, you will find th�t our full-time consulting numbers grew to 32% �nd investment b�nking to ��%. Both industries experienced � signific�nt incre�se in hires over the ye�r prior.

in terms of job functions, the top two job �re�s for gr�du�tes were con-sulting �t 36% �nd product m�n�gement �t �2%.

Kellogg students continue to find opportunities in m�ny loc�tions through-out the u.S. �nd overse�s. almost �7% of the cl�ss of 2005 took positions outside of the united St�tes; this is �n incre�se of 2% from the prior ye�r. in �ddition, we s�w �6% of the cl�ss he�d to the West co�st.
