Among businesses of all sizes, 85 per cent of chief fi nancial offi cers (CFOs) surveyed said they feel they do an adequate job of recognizing their employees. Howev-er, 41 per cent of offi ce workers interviewed in a separate survey said they dont receive enough thanks for doing a great job.</p><p>Looking at regional differences, offi ce workers from Quebec (70 per cent) topped the list of respondents who reported receiv-ing enough appreciation from their manager. The survey also revealed that in the United States, workers (76 per cent) feel more appre-ciated than their Canadian colleagues and a majority of executives(65 per cent) reported thanking their employees often enough.</p><p>Everyone wants to feel like their on-the-job contributions are recognized and valued, said Greg Scileppi, president of Robert Half, Inter-national Staffi ng Operations.
