About us

With its thermostatic valve, HEIMEIER hasattained a leading position worldwide. The K head is the best-selling thermostatichead in the world. In Germany, the largestthermostatic valve market of all, almostevery second thermostatic valve installedin recent years came from HEIMEIER. A great success story which began whenTheodor Heimeier founded the companyin the Westphalian town of Lippstadt in 1928.

In the 1950s the company started specia-lizing in valves for heating systems. Thetandem valve Mikrotherm developedduring this phase was the first great classicfrom HEIMEIER.

The final breakthrough came with thethermostatic valve with an incompressiblesensor, corrosion-resistant gunmetal bodyand the HEIMEIER adaptor M 30 x 1.5presented in 1969. These three typicalfeatures have been retained till this day a decisive reason for the triumphal marchof the HEIMEIER thermostatic valve, whichhas also always been ranked first inproduct tests for the past 20 years. At theGerman testing institution, StiftungWarentest, it was given the mark Verygood four times in a row.

Apart from the thermostatic valves foralmost all conceivable requirements the current range includes more than

120 different thermostatic valve bodies onwhich the over 40 different thermostaticheads can be mounted HEIMEIER offersan extensive assortment of actuators,room thermostats, special valves, manualvalves and shut-off valves. HEIMEIER hasbelonged to the British group IMI plc sincethe middle of the 1990s. In this con-stellation HEIMEIER has become a majorglobal player on international markets as well. Today, more than 30 per cent ofthe product range for heating and air-conditioning systems for our exportbusiness are manufactured at theproduction site in the Westphalian townof Erwitte.
