Road / Street furniture is a collective term (used mainly for)
objects and pieces of equipment installed on streets and roads for various purposes. It includes benches, traffic barriers, bollards, post boxes, phone boxes, streetlamps, traffic lights, traffic signs, bus stops, tram stops, taxi stands, public lavatories, fountains, watering troughs, memorials, public sculptures, and waste receptacles.
An important consideration in the design of street furniture is how it affects road safety.

PlasticsA plastic material is any of a wide range of
synthetic or semi-synthetic organic solids that are moldable. Plastics are typically organic polymers of high molecular mass, but they often contain other substances. They are usually synthetic, most commonly derived from petrochemicals, but many are partially natural
Recycling Most of the plastics are thermoplastics and they
can be easily re-melted and reused, and thermoset plastics can be ground up and used as filler, although the purity of the material tends to degrade with each reuse cycle.
Thus in many ways it saves nature, trees, forest, water, electricity, manpower, and money
Applicable Even in CIVIL ENGINEERING 6
`ROLE OF CIVIL ENGINEERS
1. ON / OVER THE ROAD 2. UNDER THE ROAD
AND YOU WILL BE SURPRISED TO KNOW THAT AMOUT OF PLASTICS USED UNDER THE ROAD ARE MUCH MORE IN DISTANCE THAT COVERS OVER THE ROAD.
BUT HERE WE WILL BE COVERING THE PLASTICS USED FOR SAFETY ON / OVER THE ROAD ONLY. 7

THOUGH THE TAPE SEEMS TO BE A VERY SMALL ITEM,
YOU WILL BE SURPRISE TO KNOW THAT THE VARIETY OF TAPE USED FOR ROAD FURNITURE SURPASSES ALL OTHER ITEMS
17
AND AGAIN YOU WILL BE SURPRISED TO KNOW THAT AMOUT OF PLASTICS TAPES USED UNDER THE ROAD ARE 7 TO 10 TIMES MORE THAN THE DISTANCE THAT COVERS OVER THE ROAD.

filaments.....Gives:-
Super Strength and Incredible Stiffness.
Fiberglass filaments have the highest specific tensile, flexural and compressive strength of any material.
Fiberglass poles are twice as strong as a steel pole.

Benefits and features of using Plastics
Its interlocking system allows for fast and efficient installation with minimal disruption and no dust.
This is made from 100% recycled post consumer or post industrial PVC.
It can be re-used before being returned for closed loop recycling offering greater environmental benefits. 90
In addition to doors and windows it can also incorporate lighting, data and power cables via clip-in containments minimising health and safety hazards.
Incorporates Multimedia screens or simple poster frame advertising.
Panels can be coloured to suit your corporate style and come with a smooth, hygienic customer facing surface making it easy to wash clean and maintain.
Its bespoke design software allows customers to use their own plans to scale and place partitioning as well as allowing online costing and ordering. 91
