1. Name two ways that digital information is different from physical information.

Physical information

-it is a thing

-It has a logical place

-it can be found on a shelf

-it can be found in a filing system such as a filing cabinet or on film that is stored in a

filing cabinet.

2. Digital information is different, it takes different forms.

information without having to spend time searching physical files.

2. The video makes the statements: There is no “top” to the World Wide Web. There is no

shelf: the links alone are enough. What does this say about how information is organized

on the Web?

-since then the web has been challenging our most basic assumptions. We learned how

we might not need complex hierarchies to fine information.

3. The video makes the statement: We no longer find information; together we can make it

find us. How?

-there are blogs and web sites that bring the information to us all we have to do is type in

a specific topic or certain key words and the information is at our fingertips without

having to even leave our workspace,

-we can organize without material, restricted categories, bounded categories, and limited

categories. Everything is unlimited.
