Self-driving vehicle pulled over by curious police officer (May 15th , 2019)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A self-driving shuttle got pulled over by police on its first day carrying passengers on a new Rhode Island route. Providence Police Chief Hugh Clements said an officer pulled over the odd-looking autonomous vehicle because he had never seen one before.

• The Independent, 3 January 2019 – China will introduce the world’s first driverless trains to run at speeds of up to 350kph on the Beijing-Zhangjiakou railway line. The automatic operation bullet trains were trialled on a section of the Beijing-Shenyang line in 2018 by the China Railway Corporation (CRC) and the system passed all safety tests.

• WordPress - The European rail champion DB is currently transforming a section of several kilometers near Chemnitz into an trial site for autonomous train. DB Regio, a subsidiary of the DB, has upgraded a self-propelled train, with cameras and sensors in its Chemnitz workshop. The system must detect obstacles and stop the train if problems.
