Why do we say “general course outline”? Because although all the core concepts and skills will be taught, we can also tailor the course to the needs and working environment of private clients.
This course involves both theory and practical portions. Participant will be on the ground, physically active and engaged in heavy lifting. Multi-trauma scenarios will be conducted using potentially staining artifical blood products. Please wear clothing that can get dirty and/or stained.

General Course Information
The construction industry is full of hazards everywhere we turn. Traditional first aid courses are designed for low-risk urban settings where risk is minimal i.e. "soccer mom" first aid. In construction though, we know that both the likelihood and severity of illness or injury is greater due to the nature of the activities we engage in,the environment we work in, and the equipment we work with. The situation is then compounded by the extended period of time to definitive care, meaning YOU as the responder must be able to deal with the casualty for longer. This course is the pre-requisite for our Advanced First Responder Course
