when copy & pasting the main slide Slide show does not automatically return to

the main slide after showing the sub-slide(s)

Embedded Presentation

Difficulty level : medium Sub-slides are not kept with the main slide

when copy & pasting the main slide Slide show can auto-return to the main slide

after showing the sub-slide(s)

Difficulty level : hard Sub-slides are kept with the main slide when

copy & pasting Slide show auto-returns to the main slide

after showing the sub-slide(s) PowerPoint icons & optional text appear on

the slide which look unsightly*

Click Create from file followed by Browse, locate and double click your sub-presentation on your computer

Make sure that Link is unchecked (so that the sub-presentation is embedded in the PowerPoint file for the main one)and then click Display as icon

Click Browse and change the Files of type to *.ico to be able to select the icon GMARK_Blank_Icon.ico from your PC (find it online here) and then delete the Caption text before clicking OK

Start the slide show and when you click the shape (actually, the object) on your slide, the sub-presentation will show.Once all slides have been shown in the sub-presentation, you will automatically return to your main slide.

OK, there are a couple of minor limitations! The link to the embedded presentation can only occupy a rectangle You have to group the ‘fake shape’ with the invisible presentation to

keep them together You can’t change the link once it’s inserted (you have to delete it and

add a new one)
