This (5-day) comprehensive training course isregistered by the International Register ofCertificated Auditors (IRCA - UK) and satisfiesrequirements for registration with IRCA (UK).

Health and Safety performance is a key business

performance indicator. It is now not enough to simplycomply with the plethora of legislation but to show thatyou are managing health and safety for improvement.

For those who are keen to progress beyond legalcompliance and improve the way their systemoperates many companies are now turning to OHSAS18001 as their method of choice and as a means ofdemonstrating the systems credibility to their existingand potential customers and to other interestedparties.

Course structure:

The course provides an intensive program of

lectures, presentation, workshops & role-playswhich ensures the acquisition both of skills &understanding and, also tests the depth of thedelegates Health & Safety knowledge &appreciation of legislative principles.

At the conclusion, there is a 2 1/2 hour

examination, which carries a mandatory 70%pass mark, in addition to the satisfactoryattainment of the continuous assessment criteria.

Course Objectives:

To equip individuals who have either a general

understanding of OH&S matters or a background inquality systems & auditing, or who have a strong,technical OH&S background, with the ability toaudit or assess the effectiveness of an OH&SManagement System.

To provide the necessary training for the role of

H&S auditor or assessor of such systems to thestandards required for third-party certification.

To conduct an OH&S audit effectively

including opening meeting, closing meetinggathering objective evidence, usage ochecklist, establishing audit trail, interviewingquestioning & observation, assessing datarecords & reports.

Participants Cancellation:Participants may cancel their registration withoutcharge providing written notice of thecancellation is received at least two weeks beforethe scheduled start of the course. If thecancellation is occurs five days prior to thescheduled start of the course, SGS reserve theright to charge 50% of the total course fee. In theevent of cancellation a day prior to the scheduledstart of the course, or on failure of delegate toattend, SGS reserve the right to charge the wholecourse fee.For Registration:
