EM Track-III: Complete Tire and Wheel Tracking 12/06/19

Version 4.0.8 February 28, 2017

Changed the creation of Parent Account Names so that duplicate names can no longer get created and automatically use a parent that already exists by this same name

Added logic to the Database Repair Utility to automatically resolve and correct any duplicates found. This now resolves an issue when databases with such supplicate names were attempted to be imported.

Version 4.0.7 February 10, 2017

Corrected issues with all reports where tires were listed multiple times. This was caused by a change made in the earlier version 4.0.6

Correctly compute and display the Projected Tire Hours on the Inventory detail screen. For more details refer to the Reports section below with version 4.0.3

Version 4.0.6 February 9, 2017

Corrected an anomaly with the Tire Needs Report #23 when an Install or Scrap date range was selected

Changed logic when creating a new Cap & Casing tire record. It now records the Tire Registration date in the Tire’s history. In the past we recorded the calendar date, which prevented users from installing such tires post mortem

Version 4.0.5 January 6, 2017

Corrected reports that missed to include brand new tires without any prior history. This issue is the result of the changes made in version 4.0.3

Version 4.0.4 January 4, 2017

Corrected data query error with theTire Needs Forecast Report #23 when fixed removal hours were selected as the report criteria

Version 4.0.3 December 22, 2016

This release changed the computation of Hrs/32nd

/ Kms/mm and Projected Hours/Km in a total of 11 reports and their equivalent Raw Data reports, where applicable. For more details refer to the Reports section below

The same correction is also applied to the tire inventory detail screen

Version 4.0.1 December 8, 2016

This is a new master release to resolve many issues related to installing EM Track in tightly controlled Windows systems. Those are systems where the EM Track user does not, or is not allowed, to operate EM Track in Administrative mode. The installation itself still needs to run under the Administrative account (see newly released installation instructions), but going forward, any updates and other internal utilities can operate under the Windows User account with limited Windows system access. Note that there is no UPDATE available from earlier versions of EM Track. This new Master install is required to get to release 4.0.x. Updates will be available again for releases greater than 4.0

Resolved a long-standing issue with all Graphic reports where the legend text on Bar and Pie displays was truncated. This release uses a smaller legend font and automatically re-sizes the legend box as needed. Also note that the legend, which normally sits on the right hand side of the display, can be moved to any other place within the chart display (top, bottom, left or anywhere inside) by left-clicking and dragging it.

Version 3.8.4 November 14, 2016

Corrected report issues (tires reported multiple times) after a previous report selected the Excel export method

Corrected the colored tire display on all reports that show it. The colors are now correct when used tires are included with the report and the “Use Purchased Tread” option on the report filer screen is selected. In prior versions the colors were always based on the Original Tire Tread, no matter what the filter options said.

Addition of “Parent Accounts”. Accounts can now be grouped together onto a higher level. The association is done on the account screen. New report filters are also available. See Account Section for more details.

Full support of Vehicle specific operating characteristics. With this version a vehicle may be moved from one operating area to another and the tire reports will follow. For this feature to work you uncheck the “Use Default Settings of this Account” on the Vehicle Detail screen and declare the parameters separately. The change is noted on all relevant tire history records.

Addition of Vehicle Operating characteristics to the Report Filters

New feature to the Service Screen: “Remove All”. This feature is similar to the current “Inspect All” feature, except that it serves to remove all tires at once.

Addition of two (2) more languages: German and Russian

Corrected an anomaly where newly added vehicles and their tires are not immediately seen on the inspect all screen.

Clarified the Scrap Reason field on the Service screen, when scrapping a tire from there. Earlier versions had the field labeled “Tread Condition”. But it actually contained the Scrap Reason. Now the label states “Scrap Reason”. Removing a tire and not scrapping it will call this field “Wear Condition”, to be consistent with the description of the same field on the Tire History screen.

Changes to Report #29 (see Report section for more details)

Version 3.6.9 August 2014

Program errors related to switching the database have been resolved and corrected.

All screen and report labels related to the “Scrap Reason” have been changed from Wear Condition to Scrap Reason. There is no functional change other than to better describe this action. The actual scrap reason still needs to reside in the Wear Condition table as before.

A logic error related to Removal Reasons and Wear Conditions after a database has been switched has been corrected. Prior to this fix the conditions did not reflect those of the switched database.

Several reports have changed. See the Report section further down.

Version 3.6.8

Changed all reports to respect international (non-US) date formats. Ensure that your particular Short Date Format, as defined in the Control Panel, Region and Language, must not exceed 8 characters, separators included. Many languages offer several date formats. Chose the one that uses 1 or 2 characters for Month, Day and Year.

More changes are listed in the Reports section below.

Rim Torque Logic. The Rim Detail screen allows you to specify Torque values and Torque inspection intervals. The new Rim report #90 is used to identify rims due for inspection. Please read the chapter “Tire and Rim Inventory Detail Screen” in the Help system for a detailed description of this new feature.

The former Rim inspection data on the Rim Detail screen and all related reports have been revamped to work as expected. Please read the chapter “Tire and Rim Inspection Process” in the Vehicle Service section of the Help system for a detailed description of the new feature.

Two-Piece tire logic is removed from EM Track. Those systems that still have two-piece tires in inventory show a warning message when EM Track starts. Once those elements are removed from inventory you can turn the “Show Casing Details” option on the Account screen off and any relevant Casing tabs on Inventory and service screens are no longer visible.

User defined Wheel Positions longer than 3 characters are now fully supported.

Tire Forecast Report #9 and Graphs 6, 38 and 39 can now use separate target values for Steering and Drive tires.

The “Removal Reason” filter for all Scrap related reports is now available to be used.

Chinese has been added as a supported language. Beware that in order to use the Chinese language your System Locale must be set to Chinese (Simplified, PRC)

Other Changes and corrections

Rim tab on Service Screen: When looking for available Rims during an installation not all available rims were always listed. This has been corrected.

Rim Inventory: An anomaly has been corrected that caused the program to abort when looking up Rim Details under certain conditions

The service screen validates the vehicle hour changes to be of reasonable value. A warning message will alert the user if the operating hours/day are unreasonable.

The Service Screen validates the tread (NS) changes between inspections to be of reasonable value. We allow for +2/32

nd and -6/32

nd usage per month. Otherwise a warning message is displayed.

The database has received additional safety checks to prevent data corruption in some isolated cases.

Changed and expanded several Report and Graph features. See Report section below for more details

Corrected an anomaly with used rims where EMT3 did not save Rim Hours when first entered in inventory.

Modified table maintenance for Vehicle Manufacturer, Wear Conditions and Removal Reasons so that users can chose their own colors (from the pre-defined Color Table) to be used in those graphs. See separate document explaining its use in your EM Track 3 Program Folderand on the EM Track downloads page of GoodyearOTR.com

Expanded Hours validation on the service screen. Hours of operation should be more than 5 hours and less than 24 hours per day. Users can still overwrite the warning message.

Added an additional filter by Wear% on the Service Filter screen when looking for tires to install

Added a new installation option to overwrite an existing update installation with the same version

Version 3.5.24 12/6/2012

Version 3.5.23 11/13/2012

Maintenance release correcting the total average on the Metric version of the Scrap Tire report.

Corrected the update check logic to properly check every 14 days.

Version 3.5.21 and 3.5.22 8/29/12

Release 3.5.22 is functionally the same as 3.5.21. The only difference is that some of the modules were not properly digitally signed, which only affected Windows 7 installations.

Database Compress logic has been revised and updated to also correctly compress exported databases as well as the operating one. The new version also cleans several tables that were previously not cleaned out.

New Tire History report feature has been added to not only print the entire history but also to include the NS graph. The new feature is available via the Print Icon on the Tire History screen.

EM Track-III: Complete Tire and Wheel Tracking 12/06/19

Graphs #27, #28 and #30 to #35 using the “Money Lost” option correctly display the values

A minor data correction (rounding) was made to the Scrap Analysis report in columns Average Worn, Average Wear Rate and Money Lost. This only affected accounts that are set to Metric measurements and use more than one Tread reading.

The “EMT3 User” folder is now located on your local hard drive and no longer on the data drive. This used to cause a problem on multi-user installations where the data folder resides on a remote fileserver. Data located in this folder remember the last user settings and report filter selections.

Scrap Tire Report 7, using the “New Tire” option, now reports only tires having no tread usage AND no hours.

Version 3.5.17

Page 12: EM Track-III Version History · EM Track-III Version History This documentation lists all changes to EM Track-III since release 3.2.0.0. EM Track-III is no longer sold, nor can Support

EM Track-III: Complete Tire and Wheel Tracking 12/06/19

In Version3.5.16

Added a default removal NS (Tread Depth) parameter. This value will be used as the initial tire removal NS each time you add a new tire to your inventory. You may change the value after it was populated on the inventory screen. Note that declaring this value does not change any removal NS values on existing tires. You need to do that individually.

In version 3.4.2

An issue related to merging data from different accounts via the Data Import process has been resolved. This fixes an issue that used to cause the “Index is not unique” error when attempting to view an accounts’ Fleet data. Those installations that show this error still need to have their database repaired by the support desk. Once the database is repaired and version 3.4.2 or later is operating, this issue will never occur again.

In earlier released versions

A data import anomaly has been corrected that used to cause reports to not show tire serial numbers if that account was imported and merged with another account. This has been corrected in version 3.3.92

Four (4) new Operation Types were added to the account drop down selection

An issue with the longer Operation Type names was corrected in release 3.3.93

Reports and Graphs

Several anomalies with the new reports issued in version 3.3.0 and later have been corrected. There are also some new reports and new report features added. Please read more details below with each release.

Version 4.0.3 December 22, 2016

This released changed a total of 11 reports dealing with Hrs/32nd

and Km/mm computations as well as Projected Tire Life computations. Users that always inspect all tires on a vehicle are not affected by this change and their reported data was always correct. These changes pertain to those users that sometimes inspect only a limited number of tires on a vehicle. In earlier versions EM Track always used the current tire Hours/Km to compute the tire wear rate and projected life, resulting in inflated wear rates. In release 4.0.2 we now use only last known tire hours that go with the last known tire inspection. In the special case described here those hours are typically less than the total accrued hours on those tires, resulting now in an accurate wear rate.

The following Reports have changed to contain the new logic:

In Service report #3

Tire Forecast report #9

In Service Tire Cost Summary report #14

Tire Rotation report #20

Percent Worn by Position report #21

Wear Rate by Position report #22

All versions of Tire Needs Forecast report #23

Tire Matching report #25

Tire Flipping report #26

Tire Use and Cost report #30

Tire Cost by Vehicle report #106

In release 4.0.0

Resolved a long-standing issue with all Graphic reports where the legend text on Bar and Graph displays was truncated. This release uses a smaller legend font and automatically re-sizes the legend box as needed. Also

Page 13: EM Track-III Version History · EM Track-III Version History This documentation lists all changes to EM Track-III since release 3.2.0.0. EM Track-III is no longer sold, nor can Support

note that the legend, which normally sits on the right hand side of the display, can be moved to any other place within the chart display (top, bottom, left or anywhere inside) by left-clicking and dragging it.

Version 3.8.0 August 2016

Changed the Tire Pressure column on the Fleet Survey report for Foam filled tires. It now displays the word “Filled” instead of 999 PSI

All Tire, Rim and Vehicle reports now display the custom logo at the bottom of the reports. This feature is only for those customers that chose to use a custom logo with EM Track. Customers that wish to use their logo and do not already have one may contact the support desk and supply their camera-ready logo for inclusion into EM Track. For more details refer to document “Use of Customer Logo in EM Track” on the EM Track downloads web page.

Version 3.7.12 March 2016

Version 3.7.0 October, 2015

All reports showing Cost/Hr are adjusted to accommodate Casing Value

The retread and scrap reports are re-done to show the entire life history

Version 3.6.20 May 2015

Added additional filters to group reports by Parent Accounts. Parent Accounts are listed under filter “Parent Account” and all reports will automatically list all information belonging to them, still separated by its Account members, however. The grouping “Accounts” allows to select individual accounts as before. Those accounts that do not belong to any Parent as listed under the new sub group “All without Parent Account”, whereas those accounts that do belong to Parents are listed under each Parent account name. Single accounts or any combination of individual accounts may be selected in this way.

Changed filters for report #29 to list New (first) installs, Subsequent installs (used tires) and all installs

Version 3.6.12 February 11, 2015

The Consigned Tire Report received an added column for the Tire Manufacturer

Version 3.6.11

A new Tire Use and Cost Report #30 has been added to show Tire Cost/mm or Tire Cost/32nd

as well as Tire Cost/Hour or Cost/Km

. Keep in mind that the Cost/hour/Km values are actual and not projected values as found in

other reports. Otherwise this new report is similar to the existing Tires in Service report #3. An Excel raw data export version is also available.

Graphs #16-19 have been corrected to show Kilometer values properly. Earlier versions did the conversion incorrectly

Version 3.6.9

Scraptire Reports #12 and 13 now list Removal Reason and Scrap Reason. The Scrap Reason was formally labeled Wear Condition. Both reports now offer a secondary sort option for each.

The Excel Export method of the Scrap Tire report now lists both the Removal and Scrap reason

Vehicle History report #105 is now also available in Excel Raw Data format. The Excel export function of the printed report correctly lines up its data with the headers.

Version 3.6.8

EM Track-III: Complete Tire and Wheel Tracking 12/06/19

Changed all reports to respect international (non-US) date formats. Ensure that your particular Short Date Format, as defined in the Control Panel, Region and Language, must not exceed 8 characters, separators included. Many languages offer several date formats. Chose the one that uses 1 or 2 characters for Month, Day and Year.

The following reports correct inaccuracies when using Metric Report formats: Tire Forecast Report #9, Scrap Summary Report #11, Tire Matching report #25, Tire Flipping report #26 and the Installation report #29

Fleet Data Collection Report #103 now lists the last Rim inspection only.

Tire Needs Forecast Report can now also forecast based on tire distance usage (Km)

Version 3.6.5

Changed Tire Forecast Report to show N/A for brand new tires. It used to show “Remove” before.

Version 3.6.4

Report #105 is re-done for better performance

Forecast report #9 now shows the vehicle Make and Model in addition to the unit number

Version 3.6.3

Changed the header of the NS column on all reports to be in regular font. In Chinese it will also be in regular font whereas the other headers are in Bold.

Version 3.6.2

Changed the Tire Consign report to include the tire brand number. Also removed the $-sign with tire cost data

Version 3.6.0

Fleet Survey and Fleet Data Collection reports now show all tires installed, even when they had never been previously inspected. Prior versions excluded brand new tires with no inspection record.

All Rim reports 80 to 89 have been revised to show correct Rim related data. Some were expanded to also include the new Torque information

Rim Report #90 is new to the system. It lists any rims due for inspection or Torque check. See the Help file for more details on this new feature

In Service Tire Cost Summary report #14: The average NS column showed the Original and Current values in reverse order. Also note that brand new tires, those with no tread usage, are NOT included in the tire count as no values can be computed until there is some tread usage.

There is a new, simplified Tire Pressure Graph #36 available.

Scrap Tire Report #13 has some additional Sort Orders available

Tire Forecast Report #9 and Graphs 6, 38 and 39 can now use separate target values for Steering and Drive tires.

Graphs dealing with Removal Reasons, Wear Conditions and Tire Manufacturers now allow for unified colors to be used amongst Graphs displaying such data. In Table maintenance is a new table called COLOR Table where the available colors and optional descriptions is found. Tables for Removal Reasons, Wear Conditions and Tire Manufacturers allow for assigning colors to those reasons. Items that do not have a color assigned to will receive a random color as in the past. This feature was included in the prior version 3.5.27 but was missed mentioning in this document.

Tire Purchase Report #29 now can be filtered by either Purchase Date (entry date) or Installation Date (In service) or a combination of both. You can also identify new tires only.

Inflation Graphs 36 and 37: Usage of the “Date Inspect” fields has changed. With the date fields left empty the last inspection records are used and displayed. New: when dates are defined then inspections data during the defined interval are used.

Rims on Hold Pending Inspection report 83: The date filter is now correctly labeled “In Service” date.

EM Track-III: Complete Tire and Wheel Tracking 12/06/19

Tire Cost by Vehicle report #106 received a new option to include only currently installed tires. The old logic, and this option not being selected, includes all tires that were ever installed on a vehicle.

The “Removal Reason” filter for all Scrap related reports is now available to be used.

Version 3.5.27 2/22/2013

Corrected report #27: Scrap YTD. Data in this report were incorrect when the report was run on multiple accounts. Reporting a single account was correct, although it did list tires that did not belong to the account with zero (0) usage. This revised version now reports accurately for all accounts. See the Help file for a more detailed explanation of this report.

Tire Installation report#29 has been expanded to report either New Tires only (first installs) or all tires installed in a given time period. Using the new second option makes this report match the install tire counts of report #28.

Version 3.5.25 2/12/2013

Corrected an anomaly in the Tire Forecast Graph #16. This only affected tires that had less than 1/32nd

wear on average when more than 1 reading is used.

Expanded the Tire Inflation Graph #36 to offer a simplified pie chart with under, correct and over inflated counts only. This is in addition to the already available, more detailed options. See separate document explaining its use in your EM Track 3 Program Folder and on the EM Track downloads page of GoodyearOTR.com

Expanded the Scrap Tire Report to also show account totals

Removed the word “Average” from report title 21 and graph titles 13, 14, 15, 36, 37,38 and 39 as the displayed values are not averages. No change in logic or computation takes place. This is only a clarification.

Added two new secondary sort options for Scrap Tire report #13

Expanded the Date filter for New Tire Purchase report #29. You may now filter either on Purchase (Registration) or Install date ranges.

Changed the title of report #29 to: “Tire Installation Report” to better depict its purpose

Widened Hours fields on the Vehicle History report to make room for 6 digit hours and miles

Version 3.5.14

A new option was added to the Graph 25: Scrap by Removal Reason Bar. You may now select to show Dollars lost as one of the X-Axes

In version 3.5.12

Tire Needs Forecast report #23 has received a new option to forecast installed tires only. When this option is not checked then all installed AND spare tires are forecast, how the logic worked prior to this release.

Forecasting with this option checked will yield matching data with Forecast Report #9

Daily Summary Report #28 corrected an issue with the counts in the Installation and Repair sections for prior month and prior year. They used to show the current month/year data again.

The Tread Depth Differential Unit on the parameter screen of the Tire Matching Report #21 did not follow the reporting unit

In version 3.5.11

All EM Track Report Excel export features have been revised so that columns and headers line up correctly.

Additionally, Raw Data export features have been added to Scrap Summary and Tire History reports. Remember that all Raw Data export column choices do not agree with the printed report export versions. That is by design as raw data exports are for customer specific analysis.

In version 3.5.9

Page 16: EM Track-III Version History · EM Track-III Version History This documentation lists all changes to EM Track-III since release 3.2.0.0. EM Track-III is no longer sold, nor can Support

EM Track-III: Complete Tire and Wheel Tracking 12/06/19

The logic for the four (4) Scrap Reports #11, #12, #13 and #28 has been re-designed. The reason for this change was the complexity and work load that was earlier placed onto Access and Crystal reports. Under certain conditions, particularly when many filter options were chosen; either Access or Crystal exceeded its ability to generate the desired reports, resulting in “Not Supported” or “DAO runtime” errors.

In the new version we split the database query operation from the reporting logic by creating an interim reporting table which solves the earlier described problems.

To the user this involves generating an interim reporting table that can take some significant time, when ran on a large database with many accounts. However, this interim table only needs to be created ONCE, after which any Scrap report may be ran with any filter combinations for as long as no other scrap events are added to the database. In other words, the new create option is only needed after any tire is scrapped or new accounts are imported into your database.

The option to generate the interim table is offered when any of the four (4) listed reports is requested via the Report Wizard. If the interim table is not present in the database then this option is mandated and cannot be unchecked.

In version 3.5.5

The plain form of Fleet Inspection Report #103 is now printing tires in the Account specified inspection order.

Scrap Tire Report #13 has changed so that tires do not print twice under certain retread conditions. See also the new Ctrl-Alt-F12 function discussed above in the same release.

Individual Tire History report prevents the Division by 0 error under certain conditions

Scrap Tire Report #27 now works correctly. Crystal used to report a “Not Supported” error

In version 3.5.4

Individual Tire History report #49 has a wider Event column to show the event without wrapping. It also shows the Cost per Hour and Cost/Mile fields with full 2 decimals. Earlier versions had those values rounded to the nearest dollar.

In version 3.5.3

All Excel export formats have changed to “tabular” format. This new feature in Crystal version 9 guarantees that all data stay in their assigned columns. Information used to shift to the left in previous versions when some fields had no data.

Version 3.5.0

Daily Summary Report #28 is new. It lists tires scrapped (Bias and Radial separate), tires installed as well as repairs performed. Note that his report may take some time to compute; be patient.

New Tire Purchase Report #29: This report is similar to Tires In Service report #3 but shows specifically Purchase and Install dates

Version 3.4.30

Allow Vehicle-ID field as filter on the Tire Needs Forecast report 23.

Version 3.4.29

Reports 20, 25 and 26 are now unit sensitive when selecting NS values

Fleet Data Collection report 103 corrected an issue where Wear and Casing conditions were written on top of each other

Version 3.4.27 and 3.4.28

Spare Tire Report #7 has the new option of selectively reporting New, Worn or all tires

Spare Tire Report #7 has a new secondary filter option to sort by %worn

EM Track-III: Complete Tire and Wheel Tracking 12/06/19

Graphs #38 and #39 received an option to show installed tires only. All, including the ones in inventory, is the other option

All reports: an anomaly caused by selecting too many reporting filter items has been corrected

Version 3.4.26

An anomaly with Tire Forecast report #23 has been corrected

Version 3.4.25

Tire pressure graphs 36 and 37 have been replaced with more meaningful data presentation. We now display pressure deviation from pressure targets. The targets are either the tire’s recommended pressure or a manually entered target value. When using manually entered target values you are advised to also select tire type and size filters so that the data become meaningful.

The bar graph displays and counts groups of tiresby the following pressure deviations: +-5, 6-10, 11-20, 21-30 and over 30 PSI or their equivalent BAR or kPa.

Display 37 shows both positive and negative deviations

All reports that show the Tire Brand or Vehicle and/or Position data have been adjusted to show full-length data values. Some columns have been widened, where space was available, while most others wrap the data within the space available.

An anomaly with Tire Forecast report #23 has been corrected so that the “All” options can properly be used.

Version 3.4.24

A new “Fixed Removal Hours” parameter has been added to Tire Forecast reports #9 and #23.Refer to a separate write-up regarding these reports on the OTR website, in the download section.

A new “Days Per Week” parameter has been added to all forecast reports. This allows for more accurate predictions.

o Tire Forecast #9

o Tire Rotation #20

o Tire Needs #23

EM Track-III: Complete Tire and Wheel Tracking 12/06/19

Added optional vehicle configuration graphics to the Tire Forecast report #9

In version 3.4.13

Changed all tire reports to handle full 15 character serial numbers.

In version 3.4.10

Changed Vehicle report #102 to show Comments in red so that they stand out.

In version 3.4.6

The temporary database used to create Report #102 graphic images can become rather large. From this version on we delete the temporary database once EM Track-III is closed. The temporary database will only be created again when the next report #102 is requested with graphic images.

In version 3.4.5

Modified report #102 to include the Rim Serial Number. To make room for this information we have moved the Inspector ID to the report’s header. We show the last inspector that inspected any of the tires currently on the vehicle. If more than one inspector worked on the tires on the same day then the last in alphabetical order is shown.

The generation of Wheel Configuration graphics for Report #102 now uses a parallel database to hold the graphic images. Earlier versions stored the images in folder Reports\Images. That folder is still used while the graphics are being generated.

In version 3.4.4

There were random issues with the graphics generation of Report #102. They used to display incorrectly or not at all under Windows 7. With version 3.4.4 we have changed the entire Data Access model from DOA to ADO. This not only makes the graphics logic work better, it also improves the overall speed and response of EM Track-III.

In version 3.4.03

Corrected an issue with Vehicle Report #102 when Vehicle Images were requested together with Inspection Date filters

In version 3.4.2

Certain installation configurations had issues with the new tire graphic generation on the Fleet Survey Report #102. This has been corrected in this release

In version 3.3.99

All reports: The filter selection for Tire Types, Vehicle Models and Vehicle IDs has been expanded so that you can now select items that only pertain to a specific account. In earlier versions you were presented with all data in your database.

Fleet Survey Report #102 received a new option that optionally will print the actual wheel configuration on the form.

o Note that when this option is chosen that EM Track will first refresh each selected vehicle’s wheel configuration and last known %worn color. You can follow this process on the screen. Depending on the speed of your computer and the number of Vehicles selected for the report this may take a little time. A progress bar shows you how long the process will take.

o If this option is not checked then the report is generated without the graphic wheel configuration and will run as fast as it did before.

o An earlier Crystal display issue in version 3.3.98 has also been corrected.

Fleet Data Collection report #103 received a new option to print blank (empty) Data Collection forms based on user selectable wheel configurations. Any number of forms of a given type may be printed. Each wheel position is printed in the account selected inspection order.

In version 3.3.96

The date filters for Graphs #36 and #37 have changed to use inspection dates instead of the prior registration dates.

In Version 3.3.95

The Tire Removal report #15 was corrected to prevent duplicate tires and include some missing ones in the report.

Casing pending inspection report #55 was corrected to deal with a non-related issue introduced in version 3.3.2

In Version 3.3.94

Scrap Tire Report #13 was corrected as it used to report the same 2-piece tread multiple times if the tread was installed on different casings during its life. Now only one event is listed showing the very first and very last dates of its life.

Additional Scrap report related issues were corrected in version 3.3.94 where certain tire serial numbers were listed more than once.

In version 3.3.8

Graph #48 requites running Tire report #27 fist. A message is added to warn user is that is the case.

Changing Tire History records issued a Fill-Type warning by mistake. That has been corrected.

In version 3.3.7

The Wheel position filter logic with Scrap Reports has been fixed

An error with Graph #41 has been corrected

In version 3.3.6

Some Tire reports used to list the same tire multiple times

The Individual Tire History report used to show incorrect column information

The Scrap Summary report #11 now drops the “cents” again so that large costs fit into the available column width

Casing reports 51, 52 and 53 had issues with version 3.3.1. They have also been corrected to no longer include “normal” tire casings and only count and list 2-piece tire casings.

Tire Retread and Tire Repaired reports 16 and 17 are now showing the return dates again.

Some reports failed to show the tire’s serial number under certain conditions.

Report Export Functions

In version 3.5.11

All EM Track Report Excel export features have been revised so that columns and headers line up correctly.

Additionally, Raw Data export features have been added to Scrap Summary and Tire History reports. Remember that all Raw Data export column choices do not agree with the printed report export versions. That is by design as raw data exports are for customer specific analysis.

Also, the WYSISYG version of the new Excel export has been reverted back to the old version that allows you again to easily modify the resultant spreadsheet.

VERSION 3.3.0.0 (September 9, 2008)

Account related issues

(None)

Tire/Tread, Casing, Rim related issues

New Feature: “Fill Insert” tracking capability – This feature lets you track the cost of a “filled” tire and directly influence all cost based calculations. To easily identify filled tires on the reports, an indicator “(x)”is appended at the end of the serial number. The following fill types are currently supported:

(P) Permafoam

(U) Urethane

(T) Trojan Softcore

(H) Hutchinson

(O) Other

A Fill cost entry field is provided in the Tire Detail screen to enter Fill cost anytime. Whenever a Fill cost is entered for a tire, a history record will be created with action “Fill”. Additionally, pressure is automatically set to 999 for filled tires. A Fill history record can also be manually entered to quickly jump start the use of the feature for existing filled tires. Fill cost can be set to zero anytime, to tell the system that the tire is not a filled tire anymore. Fill history records will remain unless deleted manually.Note that only one (1) Fill history record can get created.

A checkbox was added in the report parameter screen that reads “Filled Tires Only”. This new parameter, when checked, will filter tire records with Fill cost greater than zero only. Otherwise, all tires will display/report.

Tire/Tread, Casing, Rim History related items

Filled tire support has been added. See above description for more details.

Vehicle related items

A run time error used to occur when inspecting/editing vehiclehours and the last vehicle inspection date is greater than that of the computer running EM Track-III.Preventive logic was added to handle this scenario.

Reports and Graphs

Report #09 – Tire Forecast Report. When exported to excel, the Projected Cost/hr was shifted one column to the right making it look like nothing was printed for this column. The report file was modified so it would not skip a column when exported to excel.

Report #15 – Tire Removal Report. An issue with Tire Removal Report that doesn’t sort report by secondary sort Vehicle ID when selected has been corrected.

Graph #44 – Average Monthly Scrap Hours & Tread Remaining – “query to complex” error has been corrected.

Graph #46 – The “Scrap and on Hold” Disposition reporting choice did not used to include tires on Hold. This is now corrected.

New Feature: “Used Tire” cost per hour

This new feature lets users tell the system to use “purchase non-skid” value instead of “new non-skid” value in report calculations that use these values for wear percentage and projected hours calculation. Additionally, the respective report headings toggle between Original NS measurement and PurchasedNS measurement where applicable.

Note:This feature only applies to “Used Tires” as marked on the Tire Detail screen

New Feature: “In Service” report by Installation Date This new feature lets users tell the system to use “Install Date” instead of “Registration Date” when retrieving “In Service” and “In Service Tire Cost Summary” data. When tires are entered into the system, they are not always installed the same date as when they were entered. Now you can report tires that were installed for a range of dates instead of when they were entered into the system. A checkbox was added in the report parameter screen that reads “Use Install Date” whenever the In Serviceor In Service Tire Cost Summaryreport is selected from the reports list.

Reports and Graphs

Under rare conditions, a temporary scrap table was not getting deleted causing a “no scrap data” for graphs condition. This issue has been identified and corrected.

A minor issue in the Tire Flipping Report (# 26) has been identified and corrected. In some cases, the report suggested new tires with no wear should be flipped.

A graph formula that produced “Hours per MM” calculations was incorrect. It was dividing English values by 1.26 (roughly) rather than multiplying by that value. This situation is now corrected.

A parameter was added to the Tire Needs Forecast Report providing users the option of reporting Max Cost as either tire cost or net cost. Previously, the report was merely using purchase or casing cost to compute Max Cost values.

A new Scrap Year-to-Date (YTD) report was created to provide users additional insight as to how tire sizes on individual pieces of equipment failed. The new report is number 27.

A new Monthly Tire Life chart was created to provide management a view of how average monthly scrap hours compare to year-to-date weighed averages, target and stretch values.

A new “Export Raw Data” checkbox appears in the lower right corner of the report filter screen when any of the following reports are selected:

1. Tire Register # 2

2. Tires in Service # 3

3. Spare Tire # 7

4. Tire Inflation # 10

5. Scrap Tire # 13

6. Tire Removal # 15

7. Vehicle List # 101

Placing a check in this box and clicking the “show report” button will export all raw data into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. No erroneous graphics, logos, grouping, or sub totals appear. All values for each serial number appear on one record only. If the checkbox is false (default), the reports are run normally.

Inspection Issues

For users who track more than one NS, the option to “Flip” the tire before installing it appears. If a user made the decision to flip a tire, EM Track-III was incorrectly carrying that decision forward for the next tire installation. The “Flip” checkbox was changed to remain unchecked, between installations, by default.

Under certain conditions, an error occurs when trying to view casings in the Service screen. This error has been corrected.

An error has been identified and corrected in the Service screen when users attempt to install a tire with a long Inspector ID value.

Miscellaneous

In an effort to remain consistent with Windows programming standards, a new feature was added to the Help menu to make updating easier and seamless. Users may now click the “Check for Updates” menu option to automatically check for, download, and install the latest EM Track-III update. Support must be current to permit download.

The EM Track-III update file (EMT3Update.exe) has been enhanced to only install the update on those computers where the support for EM Track-III is current.
