Bunnings Warehouse Ellenbrook will be located at the corner of The Promenade and Mangles Drive, Ellenbrook and is set to open in late 2013. The total project will have an investment of more than $32 million in the development, fit-out and stock for the store on the three hectare Ellenbrook site. The Ellenbrook Warehouse will be almost 16,000 square metres and include the main warehouse, timber trade sales area, building materials and landscape supplies yard and outdoor nursery. There will also be parking for more than 390 cars. Bunnings Chief Operating Officer, Peter Davis, said Bunnings was pleased to be investing in the local Ellenbrook community. “Bunnings’ investment in the Ellenbrook area will provide great job opportunities for the local community, with over 130 new positions available in the Bunnings team, representing strong employment and on-the-job training opportunities for local residents and school leavers.” “The project will also create over 180 additional jobs during the construction phase, signifying a direct investment in the local area,” Mr Davis said. “We are really proud of our Western Australian heritage. We have grown from humble beginnings to now operating over 270 stores and employing over 33,000 team members across Australia and New Zealand” he said. Managing Director for LWP Property Group, the developers of Ellenbrook, Mr Danny Murphy, said it was exciting to see more large retailers moving into Ellenbrook. “Bunnings coming to Ellenbrook represents an important part of the Stage 3 expansion of the Ellenbrook Town Centre," he said. "Stage 3 of the Ellenbrook Town Centre, will see the extension of key roads, including The Parkway, which will open up a number of exciting new “High Street” sites for development. The Warehouse will offer a wide range of leading Australian brands and products along with specialised trade supplies to meet the community’s needs. Local customers will enjoy the convenience of the widest range of home improvement and outdoor living products at the lowest prices.
