Frances St. Elizabeth Harris With generous support from the Department Comparative Literature and Folklore Studies, the Creative Writing Program, the Anonymous Fund and the Department of French & Italian Elizabeth Harris translates contemporary Italian ficon. Her translated books include Mario Rigoni Sterns novel Giacomos Seasons (Autumn Hill Books), Giulio Mozzis story collecon This Is the Garden (Open Leer Books), and Antonio Tabucchis novels Tristano Dies and For Isabel: A Mandala (both with Archipelago Books). For her various translaons of Tabucchi, she has won a PEN/Heim Translaon Fund Grant, an NEA Translaon Fellowship, The Italian Prose in Translaon Award, and the Naonal Translaon Award. She is currently translang Tabuc- chis collecon Stories with Pictures (forthcoming with Archipelago) and Francesco Pacificos novel The Women I Love (forthcoming with Farrar, Straus and Giroux). Elizabeth Harris

Elizabeth Harris translates contemporary Italian fiction. Her translated books include Mario Rigoni Stern’s novel Giacomo’s Seasons (Autumn Hill Books), Giulio Mozzi’s story collection This Is the Garden (Open Letter Books), and Antonio Tabucchi’s novels Tristano Dies and For Isabel: A Mandala (both with Archipelago Books).
