Elisabeth Parth, Mag.phil. Born in Landeck, Austria in 1966. Studied Romance philology and comparative literary studies at the University of Vienna. Several longer stays in Japan between 1994 and 1997. Has been focussing on book arts and editorial work since 1997. Founded edition ps the same year, together with the printmaker and future husband Michael Schneider for the publication of bibliophilic books as well as artist‘s books. Visiting professor for book arts at Webster University in St.Louis, USA (2005) and Adjunct Professor at Webster University Vienna (2007, 2010). Taught the class for “creative book development” at the summer academy art didacta from 2007 to 2012 in Innsbruck, Austria. Member of the editorial team at both Wiener Kunsthefte (publisher: Die Kleine Galerie, Vienna) from 2004 to 2005 and at Um:druck, the magazine for printmaking and visual culture (publisher: Prof. Dr. Philipp Maurer) since 2006. Strong focus on the topics book arts and book culture for both publications.

Studied Romance philology and comparative literary studies at the University of Vienna.

Several longer stays in Japan between 1994 and 1997.

Has been focussing on book arts and editorial work since 1997. Founded edition ps the same year, together with the printmaker and future husband Michael Schneider for the publication of bibliophilic books as well as artist‘s books.

Visiting professor for book arts at Webster University in St.Louis, USA (2005) and Adjunct Professor at Webster University Vienna (2007, 2010). Taught the class for “creative book development” at the summer academy art didacta from 2007 to 2012 in Innsbruck, Austria.

Member of the editorial team at both Wiener Kunsthefte (publisher: Die Kleine Galerie, Vienna) from 2004 to 2005 and at Um:druck, the magazine for printmaking and visual culture (publisher: Prof. Dr. Philipp Maurer) since 2006. Strong focus on the topics book arts and book culture for both publications.
