In this class you will be creating your own memories with wool and needle, that are not fragile like the ones in the 1950s. This is a beginning wool class that uses only three to four simple embroidery stitches that will be taught in class. Each of the four different shaped ornaments includes four different stitching options, and can made into an actual hanging ornament or into a table topper.

Students work on their practice piece to achieve making perfect piping, preparing the quilt, applying piping, applying binding, mitering corners, joining tails, and finishing for a show-quality back. [S-04] STARS FOR ESTER Instructor: Karolyn “Nubin” Jensen Class Level: Confident Beginner 1½-Day Class to Advanced Kits available.This string quilt is fun and simple to put together! Sample is made with 1800’s reproduction fabrics to give it an ‘old time’ feeling, but can be made with any style or color of your choosing. Several short cuts are used in this technique that makes the process streamlined and fun (there are no ‘Y’ seams)! Pattern includes five different sized stars and several projects, you will be using the middle sized star to create this quilt. Machine required.

Dresdens are built on a foundation so background fabrics don’t show through and, more importantly, turn out perfectly flat.
