Elements of Justice

Case 1: Turnabout Fashion

If you’ve found your way here, then I must thank you! It means you are interested in

voice acting in my Phoenix Wright/ MLP: FiM crossover series, Elements of Justice, the

unofficial sequel to Turnabout Storm! I feel honored that you’ll take the time to audition for

any of the parts I need in this series!

Personally, I don’t care where you upload your audition at. All I really need is a link to

your audition, wherever that is. You can upload your audition at Youtube, Dropbox, Mediafire,

SoundCloud, or whatever the flipping feather you want. Just make sure you send me the link to

it. You may look up how the voices sound like to give a reference. You may audition for more

than one character.

Anyway, here are the characters that I’m hoping to get voices for:

Phoenix Wright

Phoenix Wright is generally quite easy-going in his outlook. His relaxed attitude usually leads to

his hyperactive friends leading him around or taking advantage of his good nature, usually by

making him foot the bill of large celebratory meals. Wright has repeatedly shown himself to be

a loyal friend and lawyer who refuses to back down once his mind is made up. Wright also has

somewhat of a sarcastic side that he usually keeps to himself. This tends to manifest itself when

dealing with the eccentric characters he comes across, including his friends.

Lines:

- OBJECTION!

- HOLD IT!

- TAKE THAT!

- GOT IT!

- HANG ON!

- The testimony contradicts the evidence!

- Yes, it’s for this very reason, I’ve returned. Time to bring it to an end.

- This pony has been accused of murder? But she’s adorable!

- Talk about being a Shakespearian actor!

- I see what she means when she said the only royal thing about him is that he’s a

royal pain…

Athena Cykes

Athena has strong emotions and a powerful drive to win, which can sometimes cause

her to be reckless. Widget occasionally picks up on her emotions and blurts out what she's

really thinking, much to her chagrin. She likes orange juice after a good workout and

gratuitously peppers her speech with French, German, and Spanish, which she apparently

picked up while studying in Europe. In court, she uses Widget's holographic capabilities

extensively; whereas her co-workers bring hard copies of notes and evidence to read and

reference, Athena prefers to store and retrieve the information digitally inside Widget.

- You bet! Let’s do this!

- I. Already. Told. You! I’m a lawyer assigned to this case!

- I sensed it the moment he took the stand, the discord in his heart!

- I've always wanted to bring analytical psychology into the courtroom. The power

of psychology will bring a breath of fresh air to the legal system.

Apollo Justice

Justice is largely characterized by his seriousness and desire to build his self-confidence. He

deals with the bizarre situations that are thrown at him by being somewhat sarcastic and

critical toward others, including some of his clients. This often puts him at odds with people like

Klavier and the Wrights, who often tease him and make him wonder if he is being taken

seriously. He frequently makes puns out of his own name and practices shouting for hours at

night, calling it his "Chords of Steel", which sometimes makes his voice raspy. While mostly to

"improve" his voice in court, these exercises also function to both psyche himself up and make

himself feel better.

- My name is Apollo Justice, and I’M FINE!

- No matter what the truth is that’s waiting ahead, I won’t be afraid!

- Keep eating like that and the only direction you’ll go is sideways.

Trucy Wright

Similarly to Wright's old assistant Maya Fey, Trucy is bright, energetic and very naïve. However,

underneath all this, she is also very perceptive and intelligent, usually being able to piece things

together in and out of court even more quickly than Apollo Justice does.

Lines:

- OBJECTION!

- They always say that, on stage, you should hit the crowd with speed and ferocity!

- A lot of people come just to see my panties, you know!

- Daddy, how does this pony know you?

- Magic? I expertise in magic too!

- Whoa! A marshmallow pony!

- So I guess because I’m not a unicorn, I can’t learn to teleport, can I?

- And now I say the magic words…. ALAZAZAAM!

- How about instead of throwing him a “Welcome Back” party, let’s throw him a

“Congratulations on Winning the Trial” party!

Twilight Sparkle

Twilight Sparkle is the primary main character of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. She is a

female unicorn pony who transforms into an Alicorn and becomes a princess in Magical

Mystery Cure. She is very interested in learning pretty much everything through reading. She is

in the process of trying to figure out who she is as a princess. She tends to think rationally in

tough situations, and rarely loses control of herself and undergoes lets of stress. In the end, she

always tries her best to help her friends and Equestria.

- HOLD IT!

- TAKE THAT!

- GOT IT!

- My name is Twilight Sparkle.

- Reading is something everypony can enjoy, if they just give it a try.

- My new role in Equestria may mean I have to take on new responsibilities, and our

friendships may be tested, but it will never, ever be broken.

- Alright, girls, let's do this! Friendship is magic!

- You’ve told me before you have a lot of experience with murder cases. So even

though you haven’t done one in a while, it doesn’t mean you instantly become a

rookie.

- I think we may have missed something in that testimony!

Rarity

Rarity is a female unicorn pony and one of the main characters of My Little Pony Friendship is

Magic. Rarity works as both a fashion designer and as a seamstress at her own shop in

Ponyville, the Carousel Boutique. She acts very proper and she cares about her looks and

others. She can be very generous at times, but at the same time she can get selfish. But she is

always willing to give generosity when needed the most.

Lines:

- I simply cannot let such a crime against fabulosity go uncorrected.

- Look upon me Equestria, for I am Rarity!

- Of all the worst things that could happen, this is the! Worst! Possible! Thing!

- Nice is an understatement, I look fabulous!

- Fighting's not really my thing, I'm more into fashion, but I'll rip you to pieces if you

touch one scale on his cute little head!

- As fun as creating this haute-couture ensemble that I just finished making?

Delightful, non?

- They may not be as sophisticated as some of you Canterlot ponies, but they are my

best friends. And they are without a doubt the most important ponies I know.

- No way could somepony as gentle as her be a killer!

- The only thing that is royal about you is that you are a royal pain!

Coco Pommel

Coco is an Earth pony with an off-white coat and two-tone blue mane and tail. Coco is depicted

as a soft-spoken and somewhat shy pony. She has become more independent and more

outgoing since quitting as an assistant, due to Rarity’s generosity.

- Mind if I join you?

- I've worked for Suri for so long, I started to believe that it really is everypony for

herself in this town. Until I saw how generous you were with your friends and how

generous they were with you. It made me start believing there was something

better for me out there.

- Will you please help me out? I didn’t kill anypony!

- I can’t believe she would stoop so low!

- My life has gotten so much better because of Miss Rarity!

- I’m a costume designer back in Manehatten.

- If that’s the case, then who did it?

- Please make sure to tell my friend that I’m alright. I don’t want her to worry.

Suri Polomare

Suri Polomare is an earth pony who speaks with a soft but distinct upper-class Manehattan

accent, similar to that of Applejack's Aunt and Uncle Orange. She believes that in the city that

it’s everypony for themselves, so she tends to be selfish, arrogant, and devious.

Lines:

- Quiet! I pay an assistant to sew and get coffee, not talk. 'Kay?

- It takes some small-town fillies a while to learn it's everypony for herself in the big

city, m'kay?

- Hope you realize how fortunate you are to have me as a mentor. Now get me

some coffee!

- Well, look who's here. Here to show off your copycat collection? Huh?

- I was in the middle of working on something important, and then police came

through my door and arrested me! Some nerve!

- Hmph! I was taking a nice walk around Manehatten, then I seem to notice

something.

Prince Blueblood

Prince Blueblood is a royal male unicorn pony who resides in Canterlot. He is the distant

nephew of Princess Celestia. He is very snooty and expects to be treated at royalty, making him

disrespect anyone who appears socially below him. He will be the prosecutor in the first case in

the Elements of Justice.

Lines:

- My royal lips have touched common carnival fare!

- Ewww...! Uh, stay back! I just had myself groomed!

- Egh! That hair! It’s hideous!

- I don’t intend to lose to some messy-haired human.

- You think I’ll lose? I don’t think so.

- Prepare to taste defeat, filthy human!

- What?! That’s preposterous!

- OBJECTION!

Playwright

Playwright is a middle-aged stallion who is the director of the plays of the theatre. He’s a tad

flamboyant, tends to get a little loud, and loves to have perfection in his plays. He is determined

to make his audience cheer on the plays he’s written.

- Uh, hello? You guys deaf? You guys have to leave.

- I am the one who makes sure that the plays in this theatre are done right! I make

sure everything I work on is perfect!

- I’m the one who does all the writing, because nopony else knows how to makes

things perfect like I do!

- Pure genius moves lightning fast! That’s how things get done so quickly here!

- Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go get me some lunch. A stallion with the mind of

a genius must keep his brain energized with a good lunch!

Pinkie Pie

Pinkie Pie is a female Earth pony and one of the main characters of My Little Pony Friendship is

Magic. Pinkie is hyperactive, excitable, quirky, and outgoing, often speaking and acting in non

sequiturs. Pinkie tends to have a lighthearted manner in serious situations. As a result, she is

often not taken seriously even by her closest friends, who occasionally call her out on her

seemingly illogical behavior.

Lines:

- Hey, you know what this calls for? A party!

- FOREVER!

- Oh, I never leave home without my party cannon.

- Ha-ha, just kidding. OR AM I?!?!? Sometimes I can't even tell!

- Feenie, it’s been so long!

- Oooh! That’s perfect! A ‘Congratulations of Winning the Trial’ party! I like the way

your little girl thinks, Feenie!

- You have nice names, but I think it could sound more fun. How about I’ll call you…

Thena and Polly?!

- I can’t help it! It’s just that I get these really fun dreams, and I didn’t want those

dreams to stop, so I tried sleeping some more!

Applejack

Applejack is a female Earth pony and one of the main characters of My Little Pony Friendship is

Magic. Applejack is a brave, reliable, strong, mature, and hard-working pony, although

headstrong about doing things on her own. Applejack speaks with a Southern American accent,

a thick southern drawl. Applejack is often shown to be one of the more empathetic members of

the main cast, putting the needs and feelings of others before her own

Lines:

- I'm Applejack. We here at Sweet Apple Acres sure do like making new friends!

- What I'm telling you is the honest truth. Let go, and you'll be safe.

- Dear Princess Celestia, I wanted to share my thoughts with you. [clears throat] I

didn't learn anything! I was right all along!

- Listen here, you rabid rhododendrons! You mess with one of us, you mess with all

of us!

- Didn’t think ah’d see you around here again.

- I’ve gotcha covered for that! Twilight told me that there is a special coming here,

so I made some apple pies and apple cider for everypony. Fluttershy also made

some salad.

- Why would ah need alcohol? It does nothin’ but make you tipsy.

Rainbow Dash

Rainbow Dash is a female Pegasus pony and one of the main characters in My Little Pony

Friendship is Magic. She has a sort of tomboyish personality, as she isn’t into girly things. She is

an athlete who hopes to become a Wonderbolt one day. She is very competitive and very

confident in her skills, almost to a point where she become arrogant. She also has a rasp on a

voice. She tends to be brash at times.

Lines:

- Hey. I could clear this sky in ten seconds flat.

- See? I'd never leave my friends hanging!

- It needs to be about 20% cooler.

- No disrespect ma'am, but there's a big difference between pushing yourself as

hard as you can, and just being reckless. And if being reckless is what gets

rewarded around here, if that's what it means to be a Wonderbolt, then I don't

want any part of it.

- But that was me! You're you! And it just doesn't matter if you can fly or not. Your

routine was amazing 'cause it represented exactly what makes Ponyville special.

You do still know what that is, right?

- Hey there Nix!

- I just want to thank you again for saving me back then.

- It’s a flying academy. It’s where pegasi attend to become future Wonderbolts, the

fastest fliers

- in all of Equestria! I’ve dreamt of being a Wonderbolt ever since I was just a filly.

Fluttershy

Fluttershy is a female Pegasus pony and one of the main characters of My Little Pony Friendship

is Magic. She is a very shy and timid pony, so she tends to speak in a very soft way. She also

tends to get frightened easily. Nonetheless, she is always showing kindness to her friends and

everyone else who needs it.

Lines:

- Um, excuse me, sir. I mean no offense, but your rhythm is just a teeny tiny bit off.

- Oh no, I'm doing this because you're my very best friend. Right Angel? Oh, yes, we

are just doing this for the ticket.

- Were we arguing? I'm sorry.

- Oh no! I wouldn't. I couldn't. I-I don't really have any control when it happens. It

just happens. Really. I'm just good with animals. It's my special gift, you know.

- I will get my confidence up and show everypony that I am a good flyer! A great

flyer!

- He can be a real sweetheart once you get to know him.

- Oh, Mr. Phoenix! It’s so good to see you after so long!

- I made some salad. I… I hope you wouldn’t mind.

Judge

The judge is naïve and gullible, but he is said to give the correct verdict without fail. He tends to

change his mind very easily, a trait that lawyers on both sides of the courtroom often use to

their advantage. The judge often comes across as a bit absent-minded and hard of hearing. This

absent-mindedness has led to many comical occurrences in the courtroom. Nevertheless, the

judge occasionally shows signs of deep wisdom.

Lines:

- Court is now in session!

- Order! Order in the court!

- I’d like to hear what happened at the time too.

- Objection overruled!

- Errr, sorry. I fell asleep.

- What is the meaning of this?!

- Mr. Wright. You are truly the most unpredictable defense attorney I've ever

known.

- The law is the end product of many years of history... the fruit of human

knowledge! Like a gem, polished to a gleam through trials... and errors. It is this

fruit we receive, and pass on, and face in our time. And it is always changing,

growing. Nurturing it is our task as human beings.

Spike

Spike, also known as Spike the Dragon, is a male baby dragon and one of the seven main

characters of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. He is Twilight Sparkle's best friend and number

one assistant. Spike is occasionally sarcastic and sometimes laughs at others' misfortunes, even

though he usually means well.

Lines:

- Maybe the ponies in Ponyville have interesting things to talk about! C'mon,

Twilight, just try!

- Hello, Rarity. What's that? Aw, it's nothin', just my awesome mustache. [laughter]

- Oh, yeah? Just wait until you see what I have planned for the bachelor party!

- The dragon is the finest creature ever! There's more to it than just guarding

treasure!

- Today I learned how important it is to be honest with your friends when they're

doing something that you don't think is right. A true friend knows that you're

speaking up because you care about them.

- I had a feeling that Twilight is gonna try to summon you.

- Got any jewels in the salad?
