ÖNSÖZ

Teknolojik ilerlemenin katkısıyla Elektronik Haberleşme Sektörünün ülkemiz için önemi

her geçen gün daha da artmaktadır. Elektronik Haberleşme Sektörü’nün artan bu

önemiyle birlikte elektronik haberleşme hizmetlerinin kullanım ve yaygınlık oranlarıyla

ilgili kamuoyunu bilgilendirme ihtiyacı da ön plana çıkmaktadır.

Bilgi Teknolojileri ve İletişim Kurumu olarak ülke geneline ilişkin verileri Türkiye

Elektronik Haberleşme Sektörü Üç Aylık Pazar Verileri Raporları’nda yayımlıyoruz.

Büyük bir ilgiyle karşılanan bu raporlar Türkiye geneli hakkında bilgi sağlarken zaman

içerisinde il ve bölge bazlı veri talepleri de ortaya çıkmıştır. Söz konusu talepleri

karşılamak amacıyla da altı yıllık dönemleri kapsayacak şekilde Elektronik Haberleşme

Sektörüne İlişkin İl Bazında Yıllık İstatistik Bülteni yayımlanmaya başlanmıştır.

Elektronik Haberleşme Sektörüne İlişkin İl Bazında Yıllık İstatistik Bülteni; sabit telefon,

mobil telefon, genişbant internet abone sayıları ile il bazında fiber uzunluklarına ilişkin

veriler ve bu verilerin teknoloji bazında dağılımı olmak üzere temel elektronik

haberleşme sektörü göstergelerini içermektedir.

Temel göstergelerin yer aldığı 2013-2018 dönemini kapsayan bu bültende dikkat çeken bazı hususlar şöyledir:

2018 yılında özellikle, 4.5 G nin hızla yaygınlaşmasıyla birlikte gerek genişbant abone sayılarında ve gerekse veri iletişim trafiğinde önemli ölçüde artışlar kaydedilmiştir.

Hem temel göstergeler içerisinde hem de son altı yıllık dönemde genişbant kendi içinde en büyük büyümeyi göstermiştir. 2018 sonunda 13,4 milyonu sabit abone, 61,1 milyonu mobil abone olmak üzere toplam 74,5 milyon genişbant internet abone sayısına ulaşılarak bir önceki yıla göre %8,2’lik bir artış sağlanmıştır. Bu artıştaki en büyük pay yaklaşık %19,9 artan Fiber İnternette, müteakiben yaklaşık %12,7’lik bir oranla da Kablo İnternette yaşanan büyümedir.

Türkiye genelinde sabit telefon abone sahipliği 2013-2018 döneminde, %16 oranında azalarak 11,4 milyona gerilemişken, abonelik sayısına göre ilk 5 il olan

İstanbul’da %16, Ankara’da %18, İzmir’de %21, Bursa’da %19 ve Antalya’da %16 oranında düşmüştür.

Türkiye genelinde mobil telefon aboneliği 2013-2018 döneminde, %15 oranında artarak 80,1 milyona çıkmış olup; mobil telefon aboneliği sayısına göre ilk 5 il olan İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Bursa ve Antalya’da sırasıyla %27, %14 %6, %15 ve %12 oranında yükselmiştir.

Türkiye genelinde genişbant internet abone sahipliği 2013-2018 döneminde, %129 oranında artarak 74,5 milyona çıkmış olup; abonelik sayısına göre ilk 5 il olan İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Bursa ve Antalya’da sırasıyla %117 %111, %106, %123 ve %123 oranında yükselmiştir.

Türkiye genelinde fiber optik kablo uzunluğu ise 2014-2018 döneminde, %56 oranında artarak 355 bin km’ye çıkmış olup; il bazlı fiber uzunluğuna göre ilk 5 il olan İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Antalya ve Bursa’da sırasıyla %70, %68, %48, %61 ve %30 oranında yükselmiştir.

Bu vesileyle, ülkemizdeki tüm illere ilişkin temel göstergeleri ayrıntılı olarak içeren ve il bazında elektronik haberleşme hizmetleri kullanım oranlarını takip ederek değerlendirme yapmak isteyen bireysel araştırmacılara, sektör oyuncularına ve kamu kurum ve kuruluşlarına yapacakları çalışmalarda önemli bir referans olacağını düşündüğüm “Elektronik Haberleşme Sektörüne İlişkin İl Bazında Yıllık İstatistik Bülteni”ni kamuoyunun bilgisine sunuyorum.

CHAIRMAN’S NOTE

Significance of electronic communications sector for Turkey is increasing with each

day. Of course, along with the increasing importance of the Electronic Communication

Sector, the need to inform the public about the usage and penetration rates of

electronic communication services also comes to the forefront.

As Information Technologies and Communications Authority, we publish data for the

country in Turkey Electronic Communications Market Quarterly Market Data Reports.

These reports provide country level information about Turkish electronic

communications market has been met with great interest. However, provincial and

regional data requests have emerged over time. In order to meet these demands, the

Annual Statistical Bulletin at Provincial Level on the Electronic Communication Sector

has started to be published covering the six-year periods.

The Annual Statistical Bulletin at Provincial Level on the Electronic Communication

Sector covers indicators about fixed and mobile telephony, broadband internet as well

as fiber network at provincial level for last 6 years.

Regarding the basic indicators in the Bulletin for the period of 2013-2018, some of the

remarkable points are as follows:

With rapid diffusion of 4.5G mobile telephony services in 2018, number of mobile broadband subscriptions and data traffic has increased substantially.

The number of broadband subscriptions has increased by 8.2 percent in 2018 with respect to previous year. Hence, the number of broadband subscriptions reached 74.5 million in 2018 that is composed of 13.4 million fixed broadband subscriptions and 61.1 million mobile broadband subscriptions. The main contributions to that increase come from both fiber internet subscriptions with 19.9 percent increase and cable internet subscriptions with 12.7 percent increase.

Fixed telephony subscription has decreased by 16% and became 11.4 million in Turkey. Regarding the top 5 provinces which are İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir,

Bursa and Antalya, it has decreased by 16%, 18%, 21%, 19% and 16%, respectively.

Mobile telephony subscription has increased by %15 and reached 80.1 million. Regarding the top 5 provinces which are İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Bursa and Antalya, it has increased by %27, %14 %6, %15 and 12%, respectively.

Broadband internet subscription has increased by 129% from 2013 to 2018 and became to 74.5 million. Regarding the top 5 provinces which are İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Bursa and Antalya, it has increased by sırasıyla %117 %111, %106, %123 and 123%, respectively.

The length of fiber optic cable throughout Turkey has increased by 56% and reached 355.000 km from 2014 to 2018. Regarding the top 5 provinces which are İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Antalya and Bursa, it has increased by %70, %68, %48, %61 and 30%, respectively.

I hope that the bulletin will make an important contribution to the works that will be

done by individual researchers, sector players and public institutions and

organizations.

Açıklamalar

Sabit, mobil, genişbant internet ve fiber kablo uzunluğu olarak en fazla abone sayısına/fiber kablo uzunluğuna sahip ilk beş il sıralanmış olup, bu illerdeki

büyüklüklere göre aşağıda yer alan analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir:

"Türkiye Toplamına Göre Oranı": İllerdeki abone sayısının/fiber kablo uzunluğunun, Türkiye toplamı olarak ortaya çıkan büyüklüğe oranı.

"İl Penetrasyon Oranı": İllerdeki abone sayısının söz konusu ilin nüfusuna oranı.

** Mobil genişbant abone sayısı hesaplamasında bir aydan kısa süreli paket kullanan ve hiç paket kullanmaksızın internete erişen abone sayısı dikkate

alınarak revize edilmiştir.

Explanations

For fixed telephony subscriptions, mobile telephony subscriptions, broadband internet subscriptions and the length of fiber, top 5 provinces are ranked.

Also, following ratios are calculated:

"Ratio of provincial amount to the country level amount": Provincial amounts of subscriptions/length of fiber are divided by country level equivalent

amounts of subscriptions/length of fiber.

"Penetration Rate at Provincial Level": Number of subscriptions at provincial level are divided by number of equivalent subscriptions at country level.

** Mobile broadband ratio given here is updated. Currently, it includes the subscribers who have used packages less than one month period, who have

used packages longer than one month period and who have accessed internet without any packages. Before, it was just consisted of the subscribers who

had packages longer than one month period.

* 3G Mobile telephone services have been provided since 2009, 4.5G Mobile telephone services have been provided since 2016.
