Introduction

Welcome To Education Park Pro!

We would like to thank you for purchasing Education Park Pro, Education WordPress theme. It is the premium version of Education Park. Before you get started, please invest some time to go through the documentation. Education Park Pro can only be used with WordPress and we assume that you already have WordPress installed and ready to go.

Installation● Manage your theme

To install this theme you must have a working version of WordPress already installed. For information in regard to installing the WordPress platform, please see the WordPress Codex article on installation.

● Installation

The theme files can be uploaded in two ways:

● FTP Upload: Using your FTP program, upload the unzipped theme folder into the /wp-content/themes*/ folder on your server.

● WordPress Upload: Navigate to Appearance > Add New Themes > Upload. Go to browse, and select the zipped theme folder. Hit “Install Now” and the theme will be uploaded and installed.

● Once the theme is uploaded, you need to activate it. Go to Appearance> Themes and activate your chosen theme.

* It is very important you upload only the theme files, not the entire package of Education Park Pro. After downloading the Theme Files, please make sure you run package/unzip the full download to reveal the compressed directory of just theme files.

Setup Home Page as Demo site:

To make your site’s homepage look like exactly like our demo,Step 1: Open Backend. Go to Page, Click on Add New.Step 2: Enter the title (example: “Homepage”).On right sidebar, you can find Page

Attributes, On Template please Select on Homepage – Template. Step 3: Click on Publish and continue other steps described below.

Customizing the homepage as the demo image, After Successful creation of the page, Click on View Page Located at the top bar.

Now you may have the homepage as below screenshot. If not then don’t worry there may be other settings to configure. You can surely find in the documentation.

Now you need to configure homepage as the default page so please go to settings > readings. Choose “A static page” and choose “Homepage” as FrontPage. If you want to show blog posts then create a page called “blog” and assign it to the blog page.

If the homepage is missing some sections like feature clients section, testimonial sections, footer sections then they need to be configured through the customizer setting which is described below one by one . Please go through the documentation.

Installing required and recommended pluginsAfter Installing and activating the theme you will see the following message at the top of the admin dashboard page. This theme requires few following plugins. Click, begin installing plugins link which will redirect to Install Required Plugins page.

Bulk install required and recommended plugins

You can install or update the required and recommended plugins at once just by clicking into “Begin Installing Plugins”.

● Required plugin

Yudlee Themes Essentials: Education Park Pro requires “Yudlee Themes Essentials” plugin to function properly. Post types like Slider, Testimonial,

Course, Media, Client, and Callouts come into action only after the activation of this plugin.

● Recommended plugin

Contact Form 7: Education Park Pro recommends contact form 7 plugin for contact form on your site.

Set up your website

Before building your site you need to configure WordPress and the plugins. Please read carefully Theme Installation/Plugin Configuration. WordPress Configuration You can adjust WordPress settings as follows: 1. You can set Site Title in Settings > General.2. You can set Blog pages show in Settings > Reading.3. You can select Front Page and Posts Page in Settings > Reading.4. You can set Discussion settings in Settings > Discussion.5. You can change image sizes in Settings > Media.6. You should ensure that a non-default permalink setting is selected, e.g. Post name in Settings > Permalinks.

Posts Creating posts Step 1: Navigate to Posts in your WordPress admin sidebar.

Step 2: Click on the Add New Option to make a new post. Create a title, and insert your post content in the editing field.

Step 3: Select Post Format from the right side.

Step 4: Add categories from the right side. To assign it to the post, check the box next to the category name.

Step 5: Add tags from the right side. Type the name of the tag in the field, separate multiple tags with commas.

Step 6: You can add featured image. To do so, first click the featured image box, select an image and click the set featured image button.

Education Park Pro Custom Post Types

Pages New pages can be added by clicking pages on admin dashboard and can be assigned to various templates on the right side.

Page Templates There are various page templates that you can choose. ● Default Template (default page template)● FrontPage Template (Same as Demo)● Full Width – Blank Container Template (Template to Be Used With Visual Editor Plugins)● Contact page template (For Contact Page)● Page with Left Sidebar template (For Left Sidebar on Page).● Page with Right Sidebar template (For Right Sidebar on Page).

How to set up FrontPage as shown in demo?

The demo of the front page can be further divided into following sections. You should navigate to Appearance > Customizer > Theme Options and find the similar settings for the sections listed below.

Course Section Options

Click on the course option and then go to Add new Course. There you can add courses as much as you want.

Further you can add course categories, course title and description, course instructor, price of course and image from Add New Course .

Or, if you find add new categories from Add new section then you can simply add courses categories from Courses>Courses Categories>Name>Add New Categories. You can add description as well.

You can customize course from course options. First, go to theme options>course options . There you will get numbers of customizer options. Listed as:-

To set the Course Enquiry. Go to single course page>take this course and click submit.

Process to add Course page Sidebar:

To add a course page sidebar in single page course is a very easy task. All you need to go to Appearance>Widgets

Then click Education Park Course Page Sidebar and drag and drop widgets from Education Park Right Sidebar to Course Page Sidebar . See the clarified picture below.

How to manage Course Archive?

Course archive page contains category in the top and all course list below the category.In order to view the course archive simply click on course in homepage.After redirect to the course page, one can find link Course in the breadcrumb and click on it. For example:

Theme Options

Theme options is the essential option for the theme. It generally contains all settings because of its 19 Options.

And the theme options are:

Theme options contain 19 settings for the theme which need to be adjusted in order to make a demo website. It is explained below one by one.

5.1.1

General Options

First go to theme Options. Then you will see General Options on very first. Click it and you will find 3 options. Listed as:-

Right Sidebar No Sidebar Left Sidebar

Select any one of them as per your desire. If you don’t like changes then you can always select ‘Reset all default settings’.

5.1.2

Slider Options:

For Slider option first go to the backend. Click on Sliders and Add a new Slider.

Step 1: wp-admin/slider/add-new slider.

Step 2: Insert the Fields shown below in order to make the change.

Fields are: Title, Banner Extra Setting Options , Feature Images.

Go to Customizer>Theme Options>Banner Option. Now you can find 3 different Options for banner. Listed as:

Single image Banner (Default) Slider Banner Banner With Video On Background

For single image banner, you can select only one image with button, title and description.

For slider banner, you can create a slider from backend (slider post type). And if you want to limit the slider on the homepage then you just need to input the slider number. Let’s say ‘3’. Only three latest sliders will be shown.

For banner with video background, you can upload a video with title, description and buttons.

There is another Banner Contact Options in Theme Options where you can both enable and disable showing banner contact form in Homepage. And you have to fill Contact form title and description.

If you disable the show banner Contact From in Home page and then contact form does not appears on homepage.

And when you enable Show banner contact form in homepage then contact form appear on the right side of the homepage .

5.1.3

Intro Options 1 and Into Options 2:

Both Intro Options 1 and Intro Options 2 have same functions. It gives the power to include a main and necessary description in your home page.

Go to Theme Options>Intro Options 1/ Theme Options>Intro Options 2

Step 1: Create a page for let’s say ‘Introduction’ with feature image /gallery /video etc.

Step 2: Now go to customizer. Select Intro Options 1 or 2 . Enable the section.

Step 3: Select the page form the list you just created or select anyone as your choice.

Step 4: Enter Title, Add Image, choose background option and color. And click on save & publish. And preview the change.

Top Call Out Options:

For Top Call out Section there are two Layouts available i.e. layout 1 and layout 2 . And there are options for selecting the category or if not selected then it show all the available. Let’s have some clarifications.

For Callout option, first go to the backend. Click on Callout and Add a new Callout.

Step 1: wp-admin/Callouts/Add New Callout.

Step 2: Insert the Fields shown below in order to make the change.

Fields are: Short Description, icon is used for bottom call out.

Adding callout category:

Step 3: Click on callout > Callout Category on backend. Add callout category .

Step 4: Assign category while adding a new callout.

Step 5: Enter the title, Description and callout category and layout . And Click on publish and save.

Call To Action Options

Steps: Click on show call to action and enter the details as shown above. And finally, click on save to view the change.

5.1.6

Top Header Options

Steps: Click on top header options of theme options. Then you can see social media links options. Select the channel you want to display on your homepage. You can also add address, map link and contact number.

If you want to remove the social icon from the home button then simply click Show Social Icons.

Stat Options

Steps: Click on show Stat section in homepage, fill the Title, Description, image and gradient color and click on save & publish to view the change like :

Team Options

Step 1: Go to backend, click on team and Add new team. You may find Team extra setting options.

Step 2: Enter the details with title and feature image and click on save and preview the change in homepage.

Bottom Call Out Options

Steps: Click on Show Bottom Call Out in homepage? Enter the title and description. Select the category as you created same as top call out category. And Select background image, if there is no any background image then there is another option called background color. Select the appropriate color and click on save & publish to view the change.

Clients Option:

Step 1: First create a new client from backend as in image below.

Step 2: Click on Show Clients Section in homepage?

Step 3: Enter no. of posts to be shown on slider.

Finally click on save & publish to view the change.

Blog Option:

5.2.1

Testimonial Section:

Step 1: First create a new testimonial from backend and provide the title, content and feature image.

Step 2: Now navigate to customizer. Enter the title, subtitle and No. of Posts.

Testimonial contains two design either three column layout or two column layout.

Step 3: Select the one which you prefer and add a background image. If no any background image then background color option can be selected as well.

Step 4: And finally, click on save & publish to view the change.

Contact Page Selection:

Step1: Go to Theme Options, Contact page Sections.

How to manage Contact Page Form?

Steps for Contact Form:Step 1: Go to Backend. Step 2: Create a page (say ‘Contact Page’). On Right sidebar Page Attributes choose Template-Contact Page. Click on publish.Step 2: Click on Plugins and check if you had install contact form 7 plugin. You must install contact form 7 plugin which is recommended by Education Park Pro.Step 3: Click on Contact listed in left sidebar.Step 4: Click on Add new to add your own contact form. See the Documentation for more details to create contact form. https://contactform7.com/docs/ .Step 5: After you setup / save the contact form you can find short code as shown in picture.

For example [contact-form-7 id="2152" title="Contact form 1"] is the short code to be used in contact page. Step 6: Copy the short code and go to contact page under pages>Contact page. Paste the code and click on the update as shown in demo picture.

5.2.3

Footer Widget Section:

Steps: For Footer widgets, go to homepage customize>widgets. You can find 4 widgets footer widget 1 to 4. For Demo select the widget first (Footer widget 1). After it, click on Add a Widget. Search the appropriate widget, maybe Text , Recent Posts, and Custom Menu etc. And finally, click on save & publish .

Another Step to add a widget.

Step 1: Go to backend. Click on Appearance > Widgets.

Step 2: Select available widgets and assign to the respective widgets. After Selection click on save and view the homepage for the change.

Footer Copyright / Footer Options:

Steps: Click on Show pre-footer section in homepage? Select 3 column or 4 column pre footer. Enter the Footer text, Developed by Text and Developed by Link. Finally, click on save & publish to view the change.

Sort Options:

Steps: The Sections can be simply dragged and dropped in order to move the section up/down

Manage site title, logo and site iconGo to homepage > customize > Site Identity. Logo: It changes the main logo of the site.

Site Title: It changes the main site title of the site.

Tagline: It changes the tagline (i.e. Description) of the site. Just below site title.

Site Icon: The Site Icon is used as a browser and app icon for your site. Icon must be square, and at least 512px wide and tall.

Set your site’s title, description and add logo by navigating to Customizer > Site Identity.

>>If no any logos then is display the site title and tagline.

How to add header image for inner pages?

This section allows you to add different header images for other pages.Navigate to Customize > Header Image.

In Header Image Options you can add new image in the Header section by clicking Add new image.

Menu setup

There are two predefined theme menu locations in Education Park Pro Theme

● Main menu● Footer menu.

Create menu

1. Go to Appearance > Customize > Menus .2. From Menus, click “Add a Menu” button and you will be able to create a

menu.3. Now, click Add Items and you will be able to Add or Remove Menu Items

according to your requirement.4. Select the Menu locations.5. Click Save and publish button.

● Go to Appearance > Customize> Menus > Menu Locations● Select the menu for Main Menu. The Main menu appears as the chief menu

in the header section.● Select the menu for Footer Menu. Footer menu appears on the footer

section.● Click Save and publish

How to manage background image?

This section allows you to add background images for the website. ● Navigate to Customize > Background Image● Select the image for Background available on media library or upload from

the other location.● Click Save & Publish

How to change theme’s color?

Colors option lets you choose header text color, background color, theme color and main navigation color.

● Header text color changes color of site title.● Background color changes the background of site.● Theme color changes color of the theme● Main navigation color changes the color of main navigation

How to setup sidebar?

Education Park Pro comes with five custom sidebar widgets for pre-footer area and main sidebar (default) for other pages

Navigate widget under Appearance in the dashboard to add widgets.

How to manage additional CSS?

Go to Appearance > Customize >Additional CSS, you can add extra CSS to tweak your website’s design.
