PERSETREF Persetref est un travail présenté à la fin de ma seconde année d’études en design.Ce magazine est l’ébauche de mon impli-cation dans le domaine de l’édition. En présentant ce travail, j’ai manifesté mon intérêt pour différents points nécessaires à l’organisation d’un magazine : la mise en page, le choix de typographie, de papier, le rythme créé par la présence de rubriques légères entre deux articles plus denses, l’identité d’un magazine… Persetref réunit des travaux personnels et des références.

Persetref is a work I introduced in the end of the first year I learned design. This magazine is a rough draft of my impli-cation in the field of edition. Thanks to this work, I showed my interest to diffe-rents points which are necessary to the organisation of a magazine : organisa-tion in the page, choice of typography, paper, rhythm created by the presence of light column between two articles which are complex, identity of a magazine…Persetref gather some of my own work and some references.

MISCELANEE

Miscelanée est un moyen pour moi d’exprimer ma volonté d’utiliser diffé-rentes qualités de papier, différentes tex-tures que nous pouvons voir et toucher dans une édition. Comme «mille milliard de poèmes» de Raymond Quenaud, j’ai créé rythme et légerté avec des phrases prises en plein vol, et j’ai organisé cela dans un édition que nous pouvons lire rapidement.

Miscelanée was a way for me to express my willingness to use different quali-ties of paper, with different textures, that can be seen and touched in a gi-ven publication. Like «mille milliards de poèmes» by Raymond Quenaud, I created rhythm and lightness with sentences I heard on the fly, and I organised it in a publication that we can be read rapidly.

D’Avril à Juin 2010, j’ai effectué un stage au sein de l’association Corner.Spécialisée dans l’événementiel, j’ai pu intervenir dans des missions graphiques afin de commu-niquer l’événement. J’ai également pu ap-prendre à travailler au sein d’une équipe, ayant déjà une identité à laquelle je me suis adaptée. Organisant de réguliers pop-up shops, j’ai été sensibilisée à la scénographie afin d’investir au mieux l’espace éphémère et mettre en valeur les produits des créateurs.

From April to July 2010, I did an internship at the association Corner. Specialised in organisation of events, I was able to play a part in graphic assignments aimed at promoting va-rious events. I learned how to work in a team who’s identity was already well-established. Regulary, we organized pop-up shops, and I was introduced to the importance of scenography in investing a temporary space and showing diffe-rents designers’ products.

INTERNSHIP CORNER

BAD MAGAZINEBAD est un magazine tenu chaque année par les étudiants de l’école des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux sous la direction du corps enseignant. Chaque étudiant de cet atelier y rédige un article, y gère sa mise en page. Pour ma part, je me suis chargée de rédiger une rubrique musicale, et d’organiser les éléments sur une double page.

BAD is a magazine created every year by students of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, and edited by their professors. Each student in this workshop writes an article, and determines it’s layout. For this project, I wrote a musical column for which I created a two-page layout.

SOUND SEQUENCESSOUND SEQUENCES

Cette edition répertorie quelques traduc-tions graphiques du son découlant d’une perception personnelle. A l’aide de séquences extraites pour leur sonorités particulière, j’ai pu interroger des points importants de la psychologie auditive.

This publication lists a collection of graphic translations of sound, deriving from personal perception. Thanks to sequences extracted for their particular sonority, I was able to investigate important questions of auditory psychology.

LINDESFARNE

Avec pour contrainte la matière du Polypropylène, ce costume a été réalisé uniquement par assemblage. Sans prendre en considération un aspect pratique, je me suis focalisée sur la ponctualité de ce costume qui se porterait occasionnellement lors de spectacles

Working with the constraint of using only the mate-rial Polypropylène, this costume was created solely through the technique of assembly. By passing most practical aspects, I was able to remain focused on the temporary 1 aspects of this costume, designed to be worn occasionally during stage performances.

Argentic Photography

La pratique de la photographie argentique, c’est accepter les ratés, faire du flou ou de la surexposition un élément faisant partie du sens de la photo. Cette incertitude que j’ai lorsque je prends une photo argentique est stimulante. Je considère mon appareil photo comme un kit de mémorisation qui prendra en compte un maximum d’éléments indispensables au sens de la photo.

The practice of using argentic photography means accepting errors, and using the blurring or overexposure as a part of the photo’s meaning. This uncertainty that I feel when taking an argentic photograph is challenging. I see my camera as a memory-kit that takes into account a maximum of elements essential to the meaning of the photo.

Depuis quelques mois, j’essaie de partager un genre de musique que j’écoute. C’est un genre parmi d’autres catégories. J’essaie de montrer que la house musique n’est pas seulement un «boumboum», mais quelque chose de subtile si vous l’écoutez vraiment.

Since few months, I try to share a kind of music I listen. This is one kind among other categories. I try to show that house music is not only a «boumboum», but something subtle if you really listen.

PROFESSIONALY EXPERIENCE

2012 : - Organizing surf-board customization activities.Volunteer for the Surfrider Foundation during «Ocean Initiatives».

Creation of a photo project for an exhibition in the shop «OK Daddy» in Bordeaux. This shop often organise exhibi-tions around the themes of surfing and skateboarding.

- Participing in a free exhibiton in a larg flat used for private shows. Everyone who wanted to hang up a photo could come with a large or small format. This event was organised by the french photograph Toums.

2011/2012 : (Every summer, since 2006) Monitoring in surf camps on the south west coast of France with the association «Ride Board». - Then ski camps and linguistics camps for people between 13 and 18 years old.

2011 : - Internship as a designer in the recently created firm «La petite Manufacture». Specialized in contemporary furniture. I did propositions with 3D pictures and suggested material.

2010 : - Graphic designer internship in the french association «Corner». Association which organises events : private and public shows, exhibitions, pop-up shop… I made flyers for each event for 3 months, plus a little magazine to introduce designer who sell products in our pup-up shop, and participate to the meetings with the association and suggested my ideas.

- I organised a shooting with the Canadien’s band DD/MM/YYYY for their next shows - Creation of a flyer for the Motorama’s show, organised by the association «Music for your mind».

2009 : - Creation of a graphic identity for the french firm «Conseil et Compétences». (logo and promotional leaflet)

2008 : - First exhibition of my work in Nancy (north of France). Aim of doing serigraphy. - Creation of the fashion line E-leen : serygraphy on T-shirts. - Renovation and fitting-out concert and exhibition hall «L’horloge» in Metz (north of France).
