On my days shadowing these nurses, I learned about the different ailments that younger kids normally get. I also learned about the different types of cancer that can affect kids, such as rhabdomyosarcoma. On my days in surgery, I observed some pretty interesting things. I watched a brain surgery and learned a little bit about the different sections of the brain. Last week, I had the opportunity to shadow two of your wonderful nurses, and I would like to personally thank you for the wonderful learning experience. On my days shadowing these nurses, I learned about the different causes of burns and the problems they cause. I also learned that some burn patients have to be kept in the room that is 110 degree. This was a very interesting rotation, and I learned many valuable lessons from my time spent following these nurses.
