Atom• A atom has 3 main parts

that are proton, neutron, and electron.

• there is also a nucleus and a electron cloud that circles the nucleus.

• Electrons have a negative charge (-)

• Protons have a positive charge (+)

• Neutrons are neutral

Page 3: Electricity and Magnetism

Series circuit

• A series circuit has only one way energy can flow so if one bulb is disconnected it means both bulbs are disconnected.

Page 4: Electricity and Magnetism

Parallel circuit

• A parallel circuit has more than one way for energy to flow so if one bulb is disconnected the other one is not.

Page 5: Electricity and Magnetism

Static electricity

• Static electricity is when one materials rubs off electrons to another object giving it a electric charge.

Page 6: Electricity and Magnetism

Magnet

Magnets attract to most metals but do not attract to other objects such as wood, plastic, and other insulators.

Page 7: Electricity and Magnetism

Poles

• Just like earth there is a north pole and a south pole.

• Opposites attract and the same poles repel.

Page 8: Electricity and Magnetism

Magnetic Field

• The reason why when you are putting a north and a north pole together they repel is because the invisible magnetic fields are working against each other.

Magnets In Are Lives

• We use magnets a lot in are lives and don’t even know it! try spotting magnets in your day and you might be surprised.

Page 10: Electricity and Magnetism

Electromagnet

• Electromagnets are when you use electricity to power a piece of metal into a magnet so you can turn it on and off.

Page 11: Electricity and Magnetism

Permanent and Temporary

• A permanent magnet is a magnet that you can not turn on and off.

• A temporary magnet is a magnet that you can turn on and off.

my power point and that you learned something.
