RAÚL A. DÍAZ RODRÍGUEZ

Mr. Diaz is an EHS Consultant and Environmental Scientist that holds a Bachelor Degree in Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. He also holds a Master Degree in Sciences in Environmental Management and Risk Assessment. Masters IRB thesis defense title: Novel Integrative Management Plan for the Chemical Compatibility and Storage Labeling of Raw Materials in Laboratories (GRADUATED SUMMA CUM LAUDE 4:00 GPA). A Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico is in progress with 3.59 GPA (J.D. Honor Dean List). Mr. Diaz is a Registered Environmental Manager (REM-10549) and Certified Environmental Auditor (CEA-8097) from Glenview, Illinois National Registry of Environmental Professionals. He has more than 25 years of industrial environmental-hazardous wastes/materials management experience. He has been Field Analyst-Chemist, Supervisor and Project Manager. Mr. Diaz also worked as Emergency Response Spill Leader, and S&R Inventory Owner in a major P.R. pharmaceutical.

He has conducted h azardous wastes / hazardous materials / radioactive shipments, m anagement audits, site clean-up and remediation projects including supervisory and technical removal operations for state and federal government, petrochemicals and pharmaceutical plants in Puerto Rico, U.S.A. (North Carolina, Virginia and Virgin Islands). Chemical recognition and unknowns special testing projects for highly reactive chemicals had been part of his expertise using specific protocols. He had been organizing laboratory stockrooms and chemical storage areas in order to comply with EPA, OSHA HAZCOM GHS, DOT and FDA standards. He has performed intensive training in many environmental, safety and logistics areas such as RCRA, DOT, IATA-ICAO-IMDG, SPCC, MSGP-SWPPP, MACT-LDAR-CAA, HAZWOPER, HAZCOM-GHS, PPE, PRCS, LOTO, FORKLIFTS and AERIAL-SCISSOR LIFTS among others for government and private industry managers, supervisors and operators. Intensive EHS training has also been performed in Abbott Barceloneta, Baxter, BD Caribe, Pfizer, Medtronic, Coca Cola, P&G Cayey, Curtis Instruments, Clorox Caguas, Congar Altadis USA, Mylan LLC, Tapi PR, Inc., GE Patillas, Hewlett-Packard, Roche Ponce, St.Jude Medical, Novartis-Exlax, Eaton Electrical, Fenwal, Dupont, Satorius Stedim, Boston Scientific, BMS Humacao, Legacy, Neolpharma, UPR, Lilly, IPR Pharmaceuticals, Janssen Gurabo, Ortho McNeill, Mylan LLC and at Zimmer Caribe.

Since 1998 he has been a valorized resource in the EHS field where pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, refineries and their contractors utilize his knowledge for special training projects and needs, including but not limited to, operating manuals development, plans-procedures preparations, as well as, upgrading of many compliance documents. Mr. Diaz has many certifications to handle and ship Hazardous Wastes, Hazardous Substances, Dangerous Goods and Radioactive Materials (ground-air-water) in USA.

Mr. Diaz has been a DG s-HM s trainer and specialists, project manager & supervisor in captive customers and clean-up projects. He has developed Work Plan Revisions, S&H Programs, SOP s and also has been active in OSH, RCRA and DOT- HAZMAT compliance audits. He also holds an OSHA Auth. Trainer Certification from The U.S. DOL (2002) from Georgia Tech Univ-Atlanta and lately in 2018 from UTA- Arlington, TX for completion of 10-30 hrs Training in the OSH Standards for General Industry. Trainers. Mr. Diaz is a PRMA-NREP-CUD active member and CQPR-CIAPR resource.
