From the Office of the President Greetings from Brownsburg, IN. There are only a few things that I want to say. I hope that everyone had a good year in 2013. Don't forget to visit the Ship's Store so that we can all wear an AshIand Association shirt most of the time. Maybe this will help to get more people to the reunion. Please try to get some shipmates that you know, to come. We need to get more of the 48 to come. We haven't been very successful in getting crewmembers from the 48 to attend our reunions. I talked to Tom Webb the other day and from what he said they have planned a very good reunion for us. Don't forget to bring something for the Ways and Means. They really work hard and need all the help we can give them. I am so ready for this winter to be gone. Your President, Davie C. WAYS AND MEANS Is this winter ever going to end? By the calendar date, SPRING is supposed to be here. It has not arrived in our neck of the woods. If you are not digging out or sliding around it would be a good time to start shopping or cleaning out your "white elephants" to bring to Louisville for the raffle and auctions. Enjoy spring, Happy Easter, and see you in Louisville in June. TO VIEW THE ASHLANDER ON LINE: Input www.ussashland.org then click on USS ASHLAND NEWS which will bring up the homepage.
