He had been such a great part of this family for a long me. He was a deacon here for thirty years. That means he did a whole bunch of serving in this congregaon. He set a great example for us in many ways. He was a family man. He showed us how to love our families. He showed us the example of what it means to be friendly. He never met a stranger. Everyone who knew him would call him their buddy. He made you feel important. Don was also someone who never held a grudge. Some of us can be guilty of that at mes. Proverbs

The book of Proverbs is full of great bits of wisdom providing guidance and en-couragement along with warning and insight. There are so many pearls to be found in King Solomon’s inspired book that if you are a person who highlights scripture, you might have the entire book colored!

We encourage you to read this book often. Go to it in times of distress and worry. Seek its wisdom in times of deci-sion and thought. Rejoice in it when you are happy and on an easy path. Share it with your family and friends.

How blessed we are to have God’s Word at our fingertips!
