Praise God for Ps Eddy Lim joining us as Senior Pastor; pray for smooth transition from May 2017.

Praise God for positive response from one Presbyterian Church’s EDC for our usage of their facilities. Pray for another church’s EDC considering our usage in April 2017. Pray for our Building Committee/EDC that God will grant wisdom as we consider all factors for our relocation.

Pray for several members as they seek God’s affirmation and peace to stand for election as Deacons and Elders at the ACM on 21 May 2017.

APPOINTMENT OF SENIOR PASTOR The Senior Pastor Search Committee, comprising the Elders, Ps William Wan and Tony Lee, is very pleased to announce that after many months of prayer, searching and interacting with potential candidates, God has led and provided Ps Eddy Lim Choon Jin to be the Senior Pastor of HPC. Ps Eddy is completing his term of service as a Pastor at Zion Serangoon Bible-Presbyterian (B-P) Church, and will become our Senior Pastor from 1 May 2017, for an initial commitment of four years.

Ps Eddy is an ordained B-P minister and has been in Christian ministry for more than 30 years, in Singapore and overseas – at Mt Carmel B-P Church, Hebron B-P Church, Zion Bishan B-P Church, Westside Calgary Chinese Alliance Church (Canada) and Zion Serangoon B-P Church. He and his wife, Jessie, have three grown-up children – a son and two daughters – two of whom are still in Canada. Ps Eddy loves music, is musically talented, and blessed with a jovial disposition and a hearty laugh. He enjoys interacting with people, and is excited about serving God at HPC.

The EDC is grateful to God for His provision of Ps Eddy, and looks forward to working with him. As we warmly welcome him and his family to HPC, please take the initiative to extend to them your friendship and fellowship! ALM: TALK ON HANDLING TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS, 30 APR 2017, 1:30PM-3:30PM, KABEK HALL You should know what happens and what different interested parties do when they are handling an accident. Lim Kim Lark will share information like: How can you minimise your losses? How will it affect the owner, the driver and the passengers? What about injuries? When do you need to call an ambulance? What pictures should you record? Is there a difference if the other vehicle is a foreign or government vehicle? Claiming against your own insurance versus claiming against a third party. Can you make a claim without a lawyer? Young drivers are also welcome to attend the talk. I f you are interested, please sign up at the WIC to facilitate lunch arrangements.
