Career ConneCtions = suCCessWe train our acting students to be ready for performing oppor-tunities in professional theatre, film and TV. Students learn from and work with professional actors and directors in our Guest Artist Workshops to master production and performing skills. Many Stage Management students receive paid internships with companies such as the Philadelphia Theatre Company, the Black Hills Playhouse, and the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts.

suCCess Costs less @ elaCTuition is low, less than $400 per semester for a full time student who is a California resident. Plus, we make it easier for working students to attend classes by providing support services such as loans, childcare, tutoring, scholarships, health care and more.

admission is easyAnyone 18 years or older qualifies for admission to East Los Angeles College. People under 18 qualify if they have graduated from high school of if they have passed the California High School Proficiency test. High school students may concurrently enroll at ELAC with the consent of their parents and high school and get an early start on their college education and pay no tuition. We welcome the diversity of our population and provide casting opportunities not available in more traditional programs. Stu-dents are often cast in shows in their first semester at ELAC!Award winning designers teach scenery, lighting, make-up and costume techniques in the technical program. The Stage Management program provides opportunities to manage productions, receive paid internships, and earn a skills-set certificate in Stage Management and Production.
