SHELL JORDAN (JOSCO)

The Jordan Oil Shale Company (JOSCO) is a 100% subsidiary of ROYAL DUTCH SHELL exploring the unconventional Oil Shale reserves in Jordan. To reduce cost JOSCO works with a unique “Own and Operate” principle, which made it possible to drill, log, and test over 350 wells at minimal cost in four-years. Currently JOSCO is working on a pilot project as a proof of concept of the In-situ process to extract the oil from the oil shale.

LEAD RESEARCHER HORIZONTAL WELL TESTING Responsible for finding and implementing the best and cheapest reliable conveyance logging and well testing options for the next phase pilot project.

HEAD OF CWI Expanded Well Evaluation Team into a Completions and Interventions Department.

Accountable for the operations & team management for three units with a total of 45 personnel:

One CWI team: which is responsible for completions/interventions

Two Hydrogeology teams running continuous influx, permeability and formation strength tests

Three Wireline teams running diverse set of tools in over 330 open hole wells All operations are key to de-risking sub-surface for future development plans and implementation of the Jordan Field Experiment, a pilot and proof of concept of Shell’s proprietary In-Situ-Conversion-Process for exploitation of Jordan vast oil shale resources Coordinating with similar teams between SHELL JORDAN (JOSCO), and other Shell Unconventional OU’s, in Houston (USA), Aberdeen (Scotland), and The Hague (the Netherlands) Managing local and international clients, stakeholders, management and contractors like Schlumberger and Weatherford
