Product informationeLabDoc makes it easier than ever to find all the product information relevant to you.

Using images of eLabDoc itself, this guide describes how to quickly find documents such as Instructions for Use, setpoint updates, safety data sheets and user manuals.

Users can define a profile of favorite products in eLabDoc, which may then be used in searches or for notifications of document updates.

Registration and loginWhile basic features of eLabDoc are available without login, registration and login will provide access to additional document types and services, including:

• Local documents

• Value sheets

• Barcode sheets

• Operator’s manuals

• New since last visit searches

• Favorites (lab systems profile)

• Update notifications

• One-click multiple downloads

• Saved searches

• Full text search

Documents searchThe search page is shown following successful login.

Search terms may be based on:

• Catalog number

• Document identifier

• Lot number

• Document title

• Product name

• Key word

Alternatively, a search may be initiated using the search field in the main menu header.

Quick search

r To search for a document

1 Enter search term in field provided.

f As search term is typed, auto-completed search terms are displayed.

2 Select a suggested search item.e.g. “10759350190”

f OR

3 Press enter, or click search symbol (magnifying glass).

Search results

Document searches (default) match catalog number, lot number, document identifier, document title, product name, or key word.

Number of results is shown in brackets to the right of search term.

Full text searches are performed if search term is not found via document search.ORBy clicking Extended text search button below search results.

Search results show:

• Document title

• Search term (number of results)

• Document type

• New status icon (where relevant)

• Product name

• Version number

• Language

- Two letter language code

- Multi-language symbol

• Publication date

• Extended text search button

• Catalog number

About 10 items are loaded initially (depending on screen resolution). Continuous scrolling loads additional items if available.

Clicking on various page elements reveals:

• Instructions

• Explanations, tool tips

Search results are ranked according to published date (default). Results can be ranked by either:

• Date• Document type• Document title• Relevance

Filter search results

Filter search results via selectable menus located to the right of the search results.

Possible filter are:

• Languages

• Document types

• Systems

• Product categories

• Catalog numbers

• Document identifiers

• Lots

• Versions

• File formats

• Published since

r To refine an existing search

1 Click inside box below relevant filter.e.g. Document types

3 Click Enter document type to close menu.

f Updated search results are displayed as filters are changed.

4 Type in on the filter entry field the filter option term directly. This type-in possibility is available if the filter drop down list has more than 10 options to allow fast access to a filter option.

r To delete / add search filters

1 Click delete symbol (X).

2 Click All options.

f Shows available filters.

3 Select relevant filters.

4 Click Show results button.

f Updated search results are displayed as filters are added or changed.

14 Documents search

Full text search

Extended text search is available at the bottom of the result page. The entire eLabDoc document repository will be searched with the original search term and the results are presented.

On the result page the full text search result record is enriched with snippets including proximity information to show where the search term was found in the content (e.g. extended search term = HIV).

Saved searches

After login to eLabDoc:

• Saved searches will be displayed in the upper right part of the screen.

• The magnifier icon collects searches which have been saved. The file counter is updated as new searches are added or removed.

r To save a search

1 Enter search term in field provided.In the example, “Albumin” was typed.

f As search term is typed, auto-completed search terms are displayed.

2 Select a suggested product out of the auto-complete list. e.g. Albumin and click All (on the right).

f The document result page opens.

3 To save the search, click the icon.

4 Enter a label for the search.

5 Click Save search.

r To display all saved searches

1 Refer to My product information > Saved searches.

f Saved searches are displayed by date of saving.

2 To delete all saved searches, click Clear all.

Document download

Open files by clicking on the document title.

OR

Click the download icon on the right of the search result to collect files for later downloading.

The file counter is updated as new files are added or removed.

The file download location is defined by local browser settings.

r To mark files for downloading

1 Click the download icon on the right side of a search result.

f OR

2 Click Select all button.

f Select all button is faded (not active) if search results are too numerous.

r To view download center

1 Click download icon.

f Document type, quantity and file size are shown.

2 Click View all.• Alternatively, click Download to receive all files

immediately.

f Download icon shows all stored files plus file size.

r To delete unwanted files

1 Click the trash icon for individual files.

f OR

2 Click Clear all to delete all files.

3 File number and download size are updated as items are removed.

r To download all files

1 Click the Download button.

f Files are automatically deleted from the download center after downloading.

Browse catalog

Browse catalog to find documents and define favorites.

Catalog pages include:

• System / Assay name (# of results)

• Catalog navigator

• Products

• View options

Products may be viewed as list or as thumbnails.

Click a product within the same diagnostic field to update the catalog page.

r To browse other diagnostic fields

1 Click All diagnostic fields.

Define favorites

Favorite systems, assays, and lots are added or removed by clicking on the favorite icon.

Non-favorites have a grey icon.

Favorites have a blue icon.

Lots may also be added to favorites.

Mouse over lot to reveal favorite icon.

Favorites within a selected system / assay are indicated by the icon beside the name: grey if no favorites, bordered blue if some favorites, and filled blue if all are favorites.

My product informationMy product information allows users to:

• Manage favorites

• Manage suggestions (according to your configuration)

• Manage your settings

• Access saved searches

Manage favorites

Manage my favorites (default) shows favorites grouped in three tabs:

• Systems• Reagents• Document types

Tab headers specify number of favorites.

q Define favorites for both systems and reagents to capture relevant updates and avoid irrelevant document notifications.

Favorite systems are listed with photo, product name

and trash icon .

Favorite reagents are listed with catalog number,

product name, LOT icon, and trash icon .

By clicking the Export favorites button a list of the favorite reagent and lot is provided in PDF format to save and/or print.

LOT icon is faded if no lot favorite exists.

Favorite document types are defined in My product information.

Document types may be for:

• Assays (Reagent IFU)

• Instruments (System IFU)

• Other purposes (Local affiliate information)

To some document types an information icon is available. By clicking on this icon an explanation / description what that document type means is displayed as a pop up message.

r To delete a favorite system or reagent

1 Click the trash icon .

My settings

r To define my settings

1 Click Manage my settings in My product information.

f The notification settings form opens.

2 Complete required information.

f Information is saved as it is entered.

q New documents may also be identified via the New entries main menu header option.

3 If E-mail notification is selected, the result page will display the documents as chosen in the Preferred document language setting.If not, the result page will display the documents in the language according to the country's default language when the country is selected on the portal (Dialog) start page.

New entriesNew entries page shows documents published in eLabDoc since the last 30 days.

In addition to standard filter options, the Apply preferences check box limits results to favorite products, reagents and document types.

Apply preferences is checked by default.
