el: FURNITURE is an award-winning Chicago-area furniture and kitchen design firm that specializes in dovetailing stylish design with environmentally sound materials and manufacturing practices. el: Environmental Language, now known as el: FURNITURE, LLC was created in 2001. Ms. Salisbury spent the first two years doing research and product development with assistance from an environmental consultant. As a result of their collaboration, she developed an environmental protocol that became the foundation for the entire company, dictating el’s core values and all business decisions. el: Commercial delivers the same heirloom quality craftsmanship that is featured in el: FURNITURE’s high-end residential furniture collection. el’s philosophy is to utilize sustainable materials in every aspect of commercial design - from materials to processes to fabrication. el: Commercial is manufactured utilizing improved sustainable processes that assure higher environmental principles.
