Dadtography.com was founded on the idea that all moments inour lives matter.

While smartphones and smart cameras are both greatphotographic options, finding a camera that works well with yourphone is a huge bonus. The larger challenge specifically forparents is knowing when to use which photographic tool andgetting your devices to work in harmony for sharing. On onehand, a smartphone is great for those spontaneous “the bestcamera is the camera you have with you” moments. On the otherhand, a smart camera is a better choice for capturing memories orchronicling events or moments.

Identifying important moments and capturing your shots like a proare the driving forces behind the #SmarterShot contest!

A weekly challenge will be given to help inspire different types ofimagery. A weekly winner will be determined by social shares or"votes" and entered as one of the finalists for the contest.

Week 1 challenge: Take a selfie or a wefie – be unique and introduceyourself or your family! What do you love most about them?

Week 2 challenge: Take a candid shot of someone in your family. Whatdo you think was going through their mind at the time? What was goingthrough yours as you took the shot?

Week 3 challenge: Take a photo of two or more people holding hands inyour family. What do you do to stay close to your family?

Week 4 challenge: Take a photo of an exciting or thrilling moment inyour life and share the story of how it made you feel.

Step 1: Submit your best photo(s) by visitingwww.dadtography.com/share.

Step 2: Once your photo is approved on the site, ask your friends toshare your photos on social media to get more "votes". Don't forgetto add the #Dadtography hashtag to photos you share on socialmedia!

Step 3: Top vote-getters will become finalists. A panel ofImagelogger judges will select one winner from the finalist photos.

Do I have to be a dad to enter? Nope! Anyone aged 18 or older may enter the challenge.

Do I have to submit photos of my child? No, we prefer the photo include you or be a photo you shot, but they can beany subject matter. Please keep all photos family-friendly (PG).
