DPH IT Management

• Lois Bryant– Oversees PHIN related activities and PHIN

team. PHIN IT applications hosted at DOIT.

• Vanessa Kapral– Oversees DPH located infrastructure and

development/application activities and teams and applications hosted at DPH.

DPH PHIN Platform

• Established under MOU December 2004.– Unix/Oracle and Windows/SQL platforms in place.

• CT Electronic Disease Surveillance System first on Oracle platform, followed by CT Immunization Registry.

• PHIN Messaging System first on Windows/SQL platform.

• DPH mandated to “upgrade” surveillance applications to meet new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other federal requirements.

• DPH-DOIT PHIN IT Working Group in place.

SDM at DPH• Governance procedures presented to

DPH Executive Leadership Team (ELT) May 3, 2007.
