Egyptian Hieroglyphs A 12 week course with
Maiken Mosleth King Are you interested in ancient Egypt? Do you enjoy learning new languages? If so you may want to learn to read Egyptian hieroglyphs in a friendly and informal setting. Join us this autumn for fun and interactive evening classes with other like-minded people. Taught by a fully qualified Egyptologist, this comprehensive course will cover all the fundamentals of the hieroglyphic script and ancient Egyptian language. The course will run from mid-September to mid-December, all necessary study materials will be provided and are included in the course price.
Maiken completed her BA and MA in Egyptology at the University of Liverpool, where she was able to study the ancient Egyptian language to an advanced level, including its final phase, Coptic. During her time at the University of Liverpool she did archaeological fieldwork at a Romano-British site in Nottinghamshire and at South Asasif in Luxor. She is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Bristol, researching the inscriptions and iconography of funerary stelae from Roman Egypt.
