making in the aviation space In the last Singapore Airshow back in

A350 and A330 aircraft The joint venturersquos clients will be airlines in the
Asia-Pacific region
For me the deals that SIA Engineering had struck indicates the strong
position that both Singapore and the company have in being the partner
of choice for aircraft manufacturers when they are choosing a hub for
maintaining their planes for customers

Lufthansa has published more details on its forthcoming Airbus
A350-900 fleet which will begin operating from January 2017
The German carrier says it will base its first ten A350s at Munich
airport with Delhi and Boston rdquoexpected to be the first
destinationsldquo
Lufthansa will not offer a first class cabin on the new-
generation Airbus aircraft Instead they will be configured with
48 business class seats 21 in premium economy and 224 in
economy for a total of 293 seats
The carrierrsquos A350-900s will gradually replace Lufthansarsquos A340-
600 fleet ndash the airline has a total of 25 A350s on order and says
that rdquoThe deployment of the remaining 15 aircraft has yet to be

Now Taking Off TAP Portugal Daily Flights to JFK Boston
TAP Portugal will launch new daily nonstop flights from its Lisbon hub
to New Yorkrsquos JFK and Boston Logan International airports The
Gateway consortium led by JetBlue and Azul founder David Neeleman
holds a 61 percent stake in Portugalrsquos flag carrier
The deal includes a new codeshare that will offer TAP access to 20 US
cities via JFK Boston and Newark TAP will operate from JetBluersquos
Terminal 5 at JFK and Terminal C at Logan The Portuguese carrier also
serves Lisbon from Miami and Newark and Oporto from Newark
Neeleman said the new service offers great possibilities for TAP rdquoWe
think that TAP can become an alternative way to get to Europeldquo he said
rdquoThere are 33 cities that connect easily to Lisbon from JFK and Boston
Connections from Lisbon are especially advantageous to cities in
southern Italy France and Spainldquo
Boston has a large Portuguese population said Neeleman rdquoTAP pulled
out of Boston in 2000 and JFK airport in 2002ldquo he said rdquoThe difference
this time is the codesharing deal we have with JetBlue that will feed
