TThe adventure begins with two nights in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Near by are the Pyramids of Giza

and Sphinx which will be seen on day two. On day three, take a short f light down to Luxor where the cruise portion of the tour will begin aboard the Esmeralda Cruise Ship. Over the next several days, this luxurious cruise will travel to some of the most historical sites of Egypt such as Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Horus, Lake Nasser, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Twin Temples just to name a few. Day 1 - Arrive in Cairo CityCairo (D)

• Arrive at Cairo international airport, meet and greet assistance by a Wherever Tours representative. Transfer via deluxe air-conditioned vehicle to the hotel. During the transfer, information about the Egypt will be provided. Tonight, a welcome dinner and overnight in deluxe Cairo hotel.

Day 2 - The Pyramids of Giza and SphinxCairo (B, D)

• After breakfast visit one of the remaining 7 Wonders of the World, the ancient pyramids of Giza with their guardian, the Great Sphinx. These amazing structures, each dedicated to a Pharaoh, are testaments to how wealthy and important the Egyptian Civilization was 4000 years ago.

• Later, visit the Egyptian Museum, famous for its extensive collection of Egyptian artifacts. See the treasures of Tutankhamen and learn about the development of Egyptian culture and art through the ages.

• Return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3 - Karnak Temple, Temple of LuxorEsmeralda, Nile River | (B, L, D)

• After breakfast, transfer to the Cairo airport for an included short flight to Luxor, the ancient capital of Thebes. Transfer to Esmeralda cruise ship. After checking in, enjoy lunch on board.

• In the afternoon, visit the amazing complex of Karnak Temple, the largest religious building in Egypt with its stunning collection of temples, chapels, towers and pylons, Sphinx Avenue as well as the Temple of Luxor.

• Dinner on board the Esmeralda and the first over night stay in the ships cabins.

Day 4 - Valley of the KingsEsmeralda, Nile River (B, L, D)

• Today, visit the West Bank of the Nile River and the Valley of Kings, where Howard Carter discovered King Tut’s Tomb.

• See the Temple of the Queen Hatchesput and the Colossi of Memnom.

• Return for lunch on the ship while it navigates towards Esna where it will cross the lock that allows the vessel to travel up the Nile towards the Cataracts.

Day 5 - Esna, Temple of Horus, Kom OmboEsmeralda, Nile River | (B, L, D)

• This morning, visit of the Temple of Horus in Esna, considered to be one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt.

• Experience a ride back to the boat in a local horse drawn Calesa.

• Enjoy lunch on board as the ship continues towards Kom Ombo to visit some souvenir shops or try out a Shisapipe in one of the open-air cafes.

• Dinner will be served on board with entertainment to follow.

Day 6 - Aswan, Abu SimbelEsmeralda, Nile River | (B, L, D)

• Awake in the port of Aswan where a motor coach will provide tranport to Abu Simbel. Enjoy a picnic style breakfast along the way. Once in Abu Simbel, admire the great Temples carved in to the rock with its white statues standing 20 meters high. These temples were rescued by UNESCO from rising waters of Lake Nasser.

• This afternoon, return to Aswan and visit the High Dam. Lunch and dinner will be served on board followed by evening entertainment.

Day 7 - Island of Philae, Elephantine IslandEsmeralda, Nile River | (B, L, D)

• After breakfast, visit the Temple of Isis on the Island of Philae, the Granite Quarries and the Unfinished Obelisk.

• In the afternoon, sail around the Nile Cataracts on a Felucca and see the Elephantine Island and the Mausoleum of Aga Khan. After dinner, enjoy some evening entertainment.

Day 8 - Kom Ombo, Esna LockEsmeralda, Nile River | (B, L, D)

• Breakfast on board as the ship heads back to Kom Ombo.

• In Kom Ombo, visit the twin temples, the only of their kind, dedicated to the ancient Egyptian gods Sobek and Haroeris.Take some time to visit the crocodile mummification museum.

• Lunch and dinner on board the Esmeralda as it cruises back towards Esna Lock.

Day 9 - LuxorEsmeralda, Nile River | (B, L, D)

• Enjoy a relaxing day cruising along the Nile while enjoying the amazing scenery with breakfast, lunch and dinner on board.

• Arrive late in the afternoon to Luxor.• Breakfast, lunch and dinner on board.• Tonight, enjoy a sound and light show at

Karnak Temple.

Day 10 - Luxor, CairoCairo (B, L, D)

• After breakfast, disembark the Esmeralda and transfer to Luxor airport for the included flight back to Cairo.

• After checking into the hotel, have the rest of the day at leisure. Tonight a special farewell dinner with a big surprise awaits!

Day 11 - Return to USA | (B)• Transfer to the Cairo airport for the return

flight home.
