Thank you to all parents, relatives and friends who visited Greensted’s Christmas Bazaar last Friday. It was a fabulous event which showcased the very best of Greensted. It was fantastic to see so many parents, staff, relatives and ex-pupils supporting the school. Highlights included the choir performing once again with Christmas Hit after Christmas Hit, the Greensted Dance Troupe performing to a huge audience and of course Father Christmas! Thanks as always go to our regular PTA helpers: Rachel Lewer, Jennifer Lewis, Steve Robson, Ann Rouse, Sandra Baitrum, Michelle Brown, Sharon Williams, Madelyn Sharman-Cole and Chelsea Wheeler. The Year 5 Production of “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme!” was an absolute delight to watch. The children were a credit to Greensted School, speaking their lines with panache and singing beautifully. To perform in front of so many parents, grandparents and friends can be quite nerve-wracking but every child showcased their talents to the full. Thank you to all those parents and grandparents who came to watch and those who commented on just how brilliant the show was. Thank you too to all staff members who helped organise the show. You did a tremendous job… The high standards we saw were the result of great teamwork - children and staff alike!

Thank you to our “Outstanding” Kitchen Team who served the best Christmas Meal for our children and staff this week. A fabulous time was had by all – you are stars!

We are also hosting a raffle for the children to be held on the last day before Christmas. The children are busy buying raffle tickets in the School Hall at Break Times for 20 pence apiece. Any donations for this would also be greatly appreciated!

Greensted’s fabulous Choir put on two stunning shows this week – one for an Old People’s Home in Basildon and one at the Eastgate Centre for Shoppers. Both performances were brilliantly received and showcased our students’ amazing singing ability.
