On the occasion of his 60th birthday, Professor Dr.Dr. h. c. mult. Egon Stahl donated a medal, a docu-ment and a monetary prize in order to recognizeand promote young scientists working in the fieldof Pharmacognosy (Pharmaceutical Biology) andAnalytical Phytochemistry.As a rule, the silver medal and an award of € 3000should be awarded to scientists up to the age ofabout forty, who have published outstanding sci-entific work during the years following theirgraduation.In2011 theESA Silverwill begivenduring the59thInternational congress and annual meeting of theGA in Antalya on Sep. 4–9, 2011 (www.ga2011.org).Members of the Society for Medicinal Plant andNatural Product Research (GA) are invited to sub-mit nominations for candidates together withsupporting data to the President of the GA, Prof.Dr. Brigitte Kopp, Vienna.

A nomination for the prize has to include a curric-ulum vitae incorporating the candidateʼs scien-tific career, an index of her/his publications, andreprints of several of his/her more recent publica-tions. All publications can be taken into consider-ation.All documents have to be submitted in electronicform (as CD in 5 copies).
