Objectives of EFNDT:The overall mission of EFNDT (European Federation for NDT) is to bring together the resources of the individual nationalsocietiesandorganisationsinthefieldofNDTin Europe to create a more effective and more valuable voice for the NDT industry, the NDT profession, users of NDT and the wider community.
Specificobjectivesinclude:
n Promote the importance of NDT and related research, development, training, certificationandaccreditationto improve reliability and safety of all the engineered items which are essential to everyday living.
n Act as the voice of the community of NDT in Europe.
n Encourage contacts between NDT Societies in Europe and other organisations with an interest in NDT.
n Represent the European community of NDT in meetings with the European Commission and related bodies.
n Contribute to the elimination of trade barriers.
n Liaise with the International Committee for NDT (ICNDT) to promote international cooperation on NDT issues.
n Organise conferences and seminars, including the European Conference on NDT (ECNDT).
n Organise working groups and make studies in the fieldofNDT.
n Publish journals,newslettersandreports inthefieldof NDT.
n Promote the execution of R&D projects and theirexploitation.
n Promote certification systems for personnel and/ororganisations in Europe.
NDT and Technical Diagnostics covers the whole field of inspection and condition monitoring technologies used to protect the safety of people, equipment and the environment.
