In the field of lighting engineering induction illuminants are an innovation, because they are economically unri-valled based on life span and energy efficiency.

The essential advantage of induction technology is, that each streetlight luminaire with an E27 or E40 base can be retrofitted to induction technology.

Therefore substantial well preserved illuminaires or illuminaires that empha-size the character of the city can be preserved and hence avoiding more expenses.

Alternatively existing lighting systems can be replaced by exchange of the luminaire heads.

Compared to products in the area of street lighting available on the market today, the induction technology fulfills all criteria of an economic and efficient illumination:

high energy efficiency low acquisition costs low maintenance costs variable light color

Efficiently and economically

Economical advantages

Amortisation time less than one year

Up to 50 % energy cost savings compared to sodium vapor lamp

Significantly reduced cleaning intervals of luminaire heads due to a minimal share of ultra-violet, therefore attracting less insects

Low acquisition and maintenance costs

Technical advantages

Lifetime of more than 60,000 hours (equal to 15 years by 4,000 hours operation per year )

Power factor: cos ϕ 0.96

Light quality: CRI/Ra >80 (improves better recognition of contours and provides sharper vision)

Available in color temperatures from 2,700 to 7,000 °Kelvin High switching capability, flicker-free due to high operating frequency Instant start due to high performance electronic

Stable luminous flux at temperatures from -25 to +40 °C

Small decrease of luminous flux over lifetime, max. of 30 % after 56,000 hours of operation

Induction compared to other techologies

Survival rate and drop in illuminance flux

Solution

A reduction in power by using the induction technology is compensated through an optimised light output of the visible light (pupil lumen)

Flexible and low maintenance
