To promote a horror trailer, companies oftenuse a range of devices to gain as muchrecognition as possible. These include: PostersTelevision advertsInterviews with cast membersSoundtracks

As part of my project I was also expected tocreate a horror poster and a film magazine cover.

Horror Trailers would also be promotedvirally using:InternetYouTubeMobile PhonesSocial Networking Sites

However, since I am unable to do this Idecided to post our final productions on myblog to potentially display our project to aninternational audience.

In relation to my poster and magazine cover,

I believe I have created realistic print work, to

a high quality and therefore feel that it looks

authentic.

If our trailer was a real production we would post it onto numerous websites, including links to interviews with cast members, or possibly create a CD featuring songs from the film.

Interviews with cast members would also be featured in film magazines such as ‘Total Film’ and ‘Empire’, as there are numerous ways to gain recognition for a film.

By posting my completed productions on the blog, my audience has become a ‘prosumer’.

I feel that we have not simply created a trailer for our A Level coursework, as we have manufactured something on a much larger scale which has the potential to entice a worldwide audience, who may comment on our work.
