a. Participants will be asked to create a plan before we discuss structure and standardization

b. Hand out Work Orders for unstructured planning

c. Participants will do a planning exercise

d. They will then present their unstructured plan to the group

5. Mod 8-Planning – this is the core of the three day program. Participants will be taught how to plan, how to incorporate standardization,

6. Practical Planning Exercise – 2 hour exercise

a. Participants are told that they will repeat the planning exercise with the new materials that they have learned

b. This will include a detailed checklist and a standardized work order

c. Hand out work orders

d. Plan work – participants go back out and repeat the exercise with new information

b. What are the KPI’s, how to measure them and their importance in the process

6. Close- There will be a test to determine the effectiveness of the workshop and to earn SAMI certification

Assessment: All assessments will be conducted during the course. Assessment tasks consist of e.g: quizzes, practical discussions, case studies, role plays, on-site exercises, hands-on.

Certificates: Certificates will be awarded to the learners who completed and pass in the assessments and who completed at least 75% of the attendance report.

Progress Reports: Progress and attendance reports will be sent to the learner’s employer indicating the progress made towards the training objective.

He is a Registered Professional Engineer and Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional who has extensive Asset Management experience at the plant and corporate level. Workshop participants will benefit significantly from his knowledge and experience developed over a period of more than 30 years in the practice of Asset Management.

Graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham, UK, in 1979.

Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, UK.Has been a Member of PMI, and TMS of USA. Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)

Management Professional with extensive experience in the Aluminium industry, covering a wide range of activities and responsibilities in Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, Planning, Procurement, Recruitment, Training & Development, and, Executive Management.

Managing Partner of Ibtikar Group company in Bahrain, with one of its activities being to provide Industrial Consultancy Services. Works with SAMI of USA as a senior consultant, involved with the implementation of a new Work Management Process at major Petrochemical Plants in the GCC.

Written and presented a number of technical papers for a number of conferences around the world.
