Healthcare’s Biggest Challenges
CONFIDENTIALCONFIDENTIAL
1. Much of healthcare data is in multiple places and disparate EMRs
2. The data is structured and unstructured (85% unstructured)
3. Inconsistent/variable definitions; Evidence-based practice and new research is coming out every day
4. The data is complex
5. Changing regulatory requirements
6. Healthcare data will only get more complex

BLACKDRAGON
CONFIDENTIAL
EagleForce Associates, Inc. has two patent applications published by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, 2005-0038805 A1 and 2005-0278362 A1, directed to its Knowledge Discovery technology (called Black Dragon).
This next generation technology is designed to overcome information silos, unreliable data, and highly disaggregated data to enable customers to identify complex, time critical patterns, and uncover non-obvious relationships to power informed decision making.
EagleForce's Black Dragon knowledge discovery architecture, system and software technology brings context to the vast universe of content across both an enterprise and public domain data. The patent-pending technology enables organizations for the first time to comprehensively search data regardless of the format.
EagleForce's technology encompasses all analytic capabilities for structured and unstructured data and has been recognized as a best of breed approach in the DoD's Global Information Grid -Enterprise Service (GIG-ES) for Discovery, which is intended to tie together all information across the Department of Defense - the world's largest holder of content.

3. System and Method for Evidence Accumulation and HypothesisGeneration, Oct 2006: WO 2006/110853 / Jan 2008: EP1877968
A methodology, a system, and an apparatus is defined for performing evidence-based decision-making about matching a given entity against one or more of a set of known or reference entities. A satisfactory decision is achieved as a function of both potentiality and plausibility, where plausibility ...
4. Knowledge Discovery System, Aug 2007: EP1817723 / May 2006: WO2006/050142
A knowledge discovery apparatus and method that extracts both specifically desired as well as pertinent and relevant information to query from a corpus of multiple elements that can be structured, unstructured, and/or semi-structured, along with imagery, video, speech, and other forms of data ...
5. System for Hypothesis Generation, March 2007: WO 2007/027967 A2An extraction processor extracts an entity from a data set. An association processor associates the extracted entity with a set of reference entities to obtain a potential association wherein the potential association between the extracted entity and the set of reference entities is described using a vector-based belief-value-set.

TSA Passenger Screening
Implementation Summary▪ Integrated Structured and Unstructured data▪ Performed analytic value scoring for each element of the Passenger Name Record
(PNR)▪ Built analytic verification module for passenger identification system▪ Implemented language variant analysis for matching different name versions and
variants▪ Developed evidence accrual methodology, enabling partial matches to statistically
contribute to overall match within and extensive rules structure▪ Data model and system Ontology scaled to process an individual in 4 seconds or
less▪ Fraud and Criminal detection technology and overall strategies used world wide for
the flying public under the name Secure Flight▪ Real Time Complex Event Analysis and actionable reporting ranging from eligibility
to criminal activity scoring. ▪ Enabled context-based thresholds for decisions on gathering additional evidence
Realizations and ROIProvided the identity verification and
adjudication method and the algorithms to process over 1.8M
passengers per day while reducing False Positives by over 68 percent with the
ROI ranging from an average of 4.9 min per passenger to 22 seconds
The US Congress and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence ordered the
Department of Homeland Security to Test, Demonstrate and Report on their ability to properly identify, analyze and dynamically
report on individuals who would improperly travel on US or International aircraft through
the use of Predictive Analytic methods.
Although initially focused on TSA passenger screening EagleForce has demonstrated the use of the technology for Provider and Patient eligibility claims. Our Predictive Analytic Rules Ontology structure has incorporated Parts A, B, Hospice, Ambulatory and DME claims for processing without human intervention
