WP2: Pilot testbed operation and support– Manager: UFRJ– Establishes a common interoperable Pilot Grid Testbed between

Conclusions and outlook
• The progress made by EELA in such a short amount of time is quite impressive– the sentence written in the EELA press release “By means of the
action of a group of very skilled and highly motivated people…” is in fact very true!
• However, many challenges are still in front of us:– extension of the pilot testbed– setting-up of ROC and User Support– setting-up of Certification Authorities in Latin America– porting of additional and new applications– the first deliverables (to be due already in february !)– create the EELA “brand” and the “team spirit”
• A chinese proverb says: “A long journey begins with a single step”. The EELA KoM was our first step.
