The IRS has determined that the newer corporation of SPIRITUAL SCIENCE is a tax exempt public charity and non-profit religious organization: “We are pleased to tell you we determined you are exempt from federal income tax… Donors can deduct contributions they make to you… you are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts.” It is true that Spiritual Science Church #88 does have a tax exemption since the 1980’s, but this parent organization of ESP LAB was subject to oversight by the National Federation—which has changed substantially in the last few years. Our board of SPIRITUAL SCIENCE is made up of loyal Lab members. This marks an incredible milestone, desired by AL and gives us a new solid platform for the next 50+ years of evolution on the spiral of growth! No words can express when a loved one is ill or is not doing well. This situation happens to each of us, during our life experience. My dear Mother passed away at 54 after battling cancer for three years and my dad passed away at 56 of pneumonia. So these kinds of things do happen with a moment's notice and then we have to deal with them. We wish we could do more to help. And at times we can feel practically helpless and we do all we can and yet can feel it is not enough. I am talking about my own experiences with my own parents. AND while there is life there is hope! You may know this story-- In my mother's case the doctor said any breath could be her last AND at most she had 24 hours to live. I got the message while in California, and my mother was in Texas... and I asked my sister to tell my mother to HOLD ON, that I would be there as fast as I could. Still it took more than 24 hours to take a plane to Texas and then a bus to the small Texas town where my mom was in the hospital... she was in a coma and incoherent-- and hooked up to five different machines. She could not recognize me. As a reference, I had been studying spiritual healing since I was 16 (and praying since I was 5) and was roughly 29 and a Lab member for a little more than a year, and I had a good bit of experience with laying on of hands, prayer work... as well as some California "new age" type of practices. I did three things-- 1) there is a practice of holding the hand of the subject and "channeling life force" from your being into their being. You breathe deeply and build your internal chi or life force and then will it into the body of the subject. 2) I then proceeded to do an aura cleansing on my mother-- which is based on the idea that the disease begins in the etheric field that surrounds the body. So you "imagine" a spiritual energy surrounding the subject and you put your hands on the "etheric field" and massage it with your hands and best energy and visualize that it is clear and clean rather than dark and murky. 3) I then invoked the angel RAPHAEL, who is the Arch-Angel of Divine Healing on the Blue Ray. His name means GOD IS HEALING; GOD HAS HEALED.

I asked the angel to charge my mother's aura with the electric blue light of divine healing, and cast out the darkness. So that was my protocol... in addition to just asking God, the Infinite Source of All, to bring healing to my mother. I had been exposed to RAPHAEL as divine healer through studying The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, as a 16 year old lad. He is also mentioned in all the mono-theistic traditions. And then something amazing happened... the next morning my mother sat up in bed, was lucid, and ordered a big breakfast. Over the next three days, they started unhooking her from the five machines... and then released her to go home with only an oxygen tank. The story does bring tears to my eyes. My mother lived an additional three months and died peacefully at home in her sleep in her own bed. I share this story as one of many where the subject person has experienced some degree of divine healing after a treatment. You can do this too…

1) Breathe deeply and fill yourself with life force. 2) Send the life force through each of your chakras

to brighten them. 3) Broadcast the light to your aura, charge it and

make it sparkle. 4) From your throat chakra, broadcast the electric

blue light of Healing Strength. 5) If the party needing healing is with you, you can

touch them and transfer LIGHT. 6) See them whole. 7) You can also broadcast the good energy

remotely to those you know in need.

Be blessed with the Grace of Infinite Intelligence pouring in and purifying you so you can share the light with others. Invoking spiritual aid, like the light of RAPHAEL, can help with the healing of body, mind, and spirit! Blessed be!

This New Moon brings sound structure and optimistic change through revelations, but you must open yourself to receive messages (these may come from inside or outside yourself) as they bring relief from old problems. Even if you find it difficult to action these messages, it is important to create detailed action plan.

The Full Moon – February 22 - 10:20 am at 3 degrees Virgo An opposition of the Sun and Moon. A soft light shines into every dark corner, illumination – realization of both failure and accomplishment. It is a time to complete your goals – or at least set a completion date.

It is time to flex your muscle by continuing to dissolve boundaries that are blocking you from your goals If there is a lot going on in your mind and you are having trouble focusing … utilize meditation, journaling or other creative technique to help you clear the webs. Try to remain flexible and go with the flow of the moment. Take care that you do not get distracted and take a detour (the long way around).

Discernment and Judgment By Reverend Michael Manning

Research has found that the most loving and compassionate people are those with the greatest boundaries. Because they are diligent about protecting their boundaries, they can be in the world with an unguarded heart and still feel safe. Believing that closing our heart is the only way to feel safe will cause us to practice less compassion and experience less joy. Discernment comes from understanding both ourselves and other people, having a balance between confidence in our own abilities and humbleness (not being arrogant about it), and from having compassion for those who suffer and for those who cause us pain.

Judgment Versus Discernment Discernment may seem to some people like judgment, and the difference is significant. In using discernment we make a distinction between what attitudes, thoughts, actions and behaviors are productive, relationship enhancing, moving towards the greatest good of all, which creates anabolic energy versus judgments that are destructive, hurtful to relationships, and generally unhealthy, which creates catabolic energy. Judgment closes the heart. Discernment allows it to stay wide open but protected with clear boundaries. Loving and accepting those who violate others is not about condoning the behavior or even tolerating it in our own life. There are consequences to this kind of behavior. We can have compassion for those who engage in such behaviors and that does not mean we must keep them in our life. It is imperative for us to set proper boundaries in the face of these kinds of behaviors. We can set boundaries that protect us and our loved ones without making someone else wrong. The moment we judge others, we lower our own vibration and are out of the vibration of love. Judgment itself is the ultimate violation of all spiritual principles. Love and discernment can coexist, and love and judgment cannot.

The basic difference is: discernment sees what really is, while judgment sees what it wants to see or what it thinks fits into its value system. Remembering to differentiate this way is not always easy. A great way to begin is whenever you are out in public, focus more on the details. Avoid getting lost in the stories about "people who live in this part of town are all criminals," "teenagers always do really stupid things", or "I had a horrible experience in that store twenty‐three years ago". It is paramount for us to know our feelings and thoughts in these situations, and especially to notice all the themes in the stories. The more commonalities we identify, such as the fear of being alone and the fear of not feeling safe, the more we uncover the stories that are dictating our life. Many judgments have roots in these stories, and in order to fully release these judgments you have to get to the origin of the stories and the pain associated with them.

Practicing Discernment In order to deepen our spiritual awareness we need to develop discernment. It is vital to go beyond the mind’s tendency to analyze and judge everything and we need to see beyond all the mind trash. A great experiment to try is to open your heart and withhold judgment. Practice discernment to see what it feels like. My guess is you will feel freer and have stronger connections with others. Withholding judgment sometimes is not easy because we are so used to denouncing people, cultures, things, religions and everything else that our judging minds have already made up our conclusions about. Condemning things is almost always a reaction from fear or ignorance. Discernment is the power behind the choices we make according to the truth of who we really are. Differentiating in this way helps us grow, expand, and understand what is happening in our world right now. Discernment is the voice of the rational and intuitive mind working together within our own unique consciousness. Therefore, discernment is one key to personal sovereignty and healing. The path of consciousness from judgment towards discernment happens when we let go of the stories we tell about our self and others from the past and step into the compassionate reality of our Self in the present. Freedom is the result of this journey, and we are reminded that there is very little outside of our self except for that which we have invented in our mind. The truth is that reality is really awesome when it is experienced fully in the present.

PROGRESS REPORT 2016 BEST year of all for all of us!

The lil birds on our membership form are telling us spring is near! Let’s see it, and accept it. As the

midwinter wheel turns—HAPPY Imbolc or Imbolg (pronounced i-MOLG), a Gaelic festival marking the beginning of spring. Most commonly it is held on 1 February, or about halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Let’s live, love, laugh and be MERRY as it is in tune with THE LIGHT! Thanks for your friendship and help… let’s keep our LAB alive and growing.
