Early Bird Discount & Registration Register and pay 25 days prior to the event date and get 15% discount.

Registrations will close 15 days prior to the start of the Course.

Energy Conservation refers to reducing Energy Consumption through using less of an Energy Service. Energy

Conservation differs from Efficient Energy use, which refers to using less energy for a constant service. For example,

driving less is an example of Energy Conservation. Driving the same amount with a higher mileage vehicle is an

example of Energy Efficiency. Energy Conservation and Efficiency are both Energy Reduction Techniques. Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency are separate, but related Concepts. Energy Conservation is achieved when growth of Energy Consumption is reduced, measured in Physical Terms. Energy Conservation can, therefore, be the result of several processes or developments, such as productivity increase or Technological Progress. Energy Conservation can reduce the Overall Consumption of Electricity by reducing the need for Heating, Lighting, Cooling, Cooking Energy and other Functions. Energy Efficiency can encourage consumers to use energy more Efficiently, and thus get more out of each unit of electricity produced. Load management allows generation companies to better manage the timing of their consumers' energy use, and thus help reduce the large discrepancy between on-peak and off-peak demand. There is a growing gap between supply and demand of electrical power. In the short term, the only solution to this problem is better energy management through conservation of power, fuel and water. As industries are the major Consumers of these Resources, the focus is on the Industrial Sector.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

Gain a better understanding of Demand-Side Management and

its Application in Real World Practice.

Understand how it has been used and applied in other

Environment Issues.

Obtain the benefits that can accrue from the Effective Control

of Load Management.

To reduce imports of Energy and reduce the drain on foreign

Exchange.

To improve exports of manufactured goods (either Lower

process or increased availability helping sales) or of Energy,

or both.

Appreciate issues for Generation, and Transmission and

Distribution Networks of unrestrained Load Growth.

Learning from Case History Examples and Extrapolating them to

the needs of Their Own Country/Organization.

The course is designed for Managers and Engineers and Other professionals those working in Electricity Area interested in Electricity Demand Side Management Schemes. Also the Professional Engineers involved and interested in Energy Efficiency and Conservation in Power Utilities.
