Chips is remembered as the most decorateddog that participated in WWII.Chips' acts of bravery include attacking amachine gun post and assisting with thecapture of Italian soldiers.While Chips received three awards for hisservice, they were later revoked since themilitary didn't have an official policy forawarding animals at that time.

Kaiser

Kaiser is remembered for his bravery in theVietnam War.Marine Lance Cpl. Alfredo Salazar served asKaiser's handler. Together they participated inmore than 30 combat patrols.Unfortunately, the pair were ambushedduring one mission, and Kaiser became thefirst dog killed during the Vietnam War.

NemoNemo is one of the most heroic dogs toparticipate in the Vietnam War.Nemo and his handler, Airman 2nd Class BobThorneburg, were attacked, yet Nemo keptfighting in spite of his wounds.Nemo protected Thorneburg after he passed outfrom his painful wounds, and the dog washesitant to let anyone touch his handler whenthey were rescued.Both Nemo and Thorneburg recovered fromtheir wounds.

StubbyStubby is considered one of the most famous wardogs in history. He is also the most decorated dogto participate in WWI.During WWI Stubby warned his troops ofmustard gas attacks, improved the morale oftroops, and even caught a German spy.Stubby could also hear incoming fire beforehumans, so he warned his troops to take cover.After the war Stubby came home as a hero,marched in numerous parades, and he even metthree different US presidents.
